    is it just me or were they're a lot of bare mid-riff in SW, more than usual, last summer. you had padme (obvious), aayla (who doesn't love twileks), ladies at that coruscant club and last but not least DEX! yes, even dex was showing of his bellybutton (from my observation of his action figure). maybe the plaid-shirted one was having a fixation on britney-christina types. HAH!

    It's the 2002 fad. Some movies are a product of their time. :_| I wish GL could of been a little more modest and above that.

    The main focus here is Padme, that she has grown up, and there is a love story. I have no problem with Natalie's navel.

    I had no problem either, seeing padme's belly(or the rest of her body for that matter).

    Thankfully he isn't, otherwise we wouldn't have Bikini Leia and bare mid-riff Padme.

    Aayala Secura is hot!

    Theres nothing wrong with showing your belly as long as you have a nice one Padme has a nice one,but nowhere near as good as Mary Jane did in Spider-man, but Dexter should Never show his belly in any film.

    Just because you'd never seen a woman's bare belly until 2002 doesn't mean it's a "2002 fad".

    I didn't mind seeing Padme's bare belly. I just thought the excuse to do so was pretty stupid.

    Dex wasn't part of the trend. That belly shirt stuff is a girl thing.

    Editorial note: Girls, if your belly ain't flat, don't show the fat. ;)

    Anyhow, Obi-Gyn, "Stay on target, stay on target."......

    Dex was more of a tribute to the fat guy with 'plumber's butt'.

    Good thing GL didn't have OB1 drop the toxic dart & then have Dex bend over to pick it up. :D

    I don't think MJ ever showed her belly in Spiderman. I wish she did, though.

    Yeah...<drools>

    Actually, MJ wasn't that hot, IMO. Her constant screaming really turns me off.

    I prefer the term 'carpenter cleavage' myself. 8-}

    Oh, come on! What's wrong with a pretty girl showing some skin? As for it being a "fad" of 2002, I suggest you go look at Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers serials from the mid 1930's: plenty of skin visible in there. Take a look at Star Trek of the mid 1960's: same thing, only with mini-skirts too. Take a stroll through the mall or along the beach: same thing in reality too! And what about ROTJ? That's the most skin I've EVER seen in a sci-fi film that wasn't Conan or Barbarella or something.

    Ah, but then, what would Star Wars fandom be without it's hypocrites?
