Best/Favorite Spider-Man villains? There’s so many they can’t fit in the poll. Green Goblin - Norman Osborn Green Goblin - Harry Osborn Hobgoblin Doctor Octopus Venom Carnage the Lizard Electro Sandman the Vulture Mysterio Rhino Kraven the Hunter the Chameleon Kingpin Tombstone Hammerhead Chameleon the Spot Scorpion Morbius Mr. Negative Smythe & the Spider-Slayer robots the Jackal & Kaine (and other clones) Shocker Hydro-Man Silvermane Man-Wolf Calypso Silver Sable Black Cat Prowler the Tinkerer Swarm
I’ve always had a soft spot for Shocker specifically because even though he’s small-time his levels in the 2002 ps2 game were my favorite, that might be a dumb reason but my avatar is Boba Fett so I obviously can’t be trusted to pick favorite villains.
I don't know what's going on with Ghost, but no movie trailer has made me feel more reassured that the superhero movie death spiral is gaining momentum than the trailer for Kraven the Hunter, so I'll go with him. Whichever villain produces the spinoff Sony Marvel movie that bombs hardest has my vote, but Kravie seems like a strong candidate.
"Best" is probably Norman Osborn/Green Goblin or Doctor Octopus but Eddie Brock's Venom is always gonna be my favorite as I really got into Spider-Man comics during that time.
Otto was the first one to beat Peter. He killed George Stacy. He could fight Peter without paying attention to him, while trying to create a cure for AIDS. He showed mercy to Peter when he was at his lowest and saved his life. He organized the Sinister Six. The whole Superior Spider-Man arc. Hell, he had the best battle with the Hulk. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https://i.redd.it/6k9ls6wqj8h91.jpg https://comicvine.gamespot.com/a/uploads/original/3/36386/2227313-hulkoctakeone3.jpg The Hulk gave him a receipt later on. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=ht...-disrespected-by-doc-ock-v0-g4zk94tcybzb1.jpg https://www.reddit.com/media?url=ht...-disrespected-by-doc-ock-v0-csh3ufgdybzb1.jpg
Rumors are the first draft of Spider-man 4 had the Shocker back in a bigger role, and finally the Scorpion, but that they're heavily rewriting it now. I guess we'll see, but would really like to see Scorpion in live-action on the big screen, along with Smythe and his Spider-Slayers, as tools in a more grounded organized crime focus with the Kingpin behind it all.
Good way to introduce Venom into the MCU, after all Gargan has been a host for the symbiote in the comics. That could be a direction to go in when he is defeated after using his Scorpion tech.
Possibly but honestly I think we need a Venom break. Or if anything, introduce the symbiote as they did in the comics, since we do have an upcoming Secret Wars movie.
