Coruscant, the gleaming jewel of the Empire.

 

I know this isn't a planet, but it would be kinda cool to live in that under water city in tpm. I mean how cool would it be to live underwater?

 

Naboo looked pretty good to me.

 

Either Coruscant or Naboo, easily. Many of the OT planets have pretty hostile environments, as do Kamino and Geonosis. Lets check the movie planets so far, in order of appearence:

Naboo-nice Earth like-planet. The easiest choice, obviously.

Tatooine-ugh. Desert planet, ran by gangsters, hot as hell, Tuskin Raiders around too, no thank you.

Coruscant-huge city planet, plenty to do, but lifestyle may be too hectic for some.

Kamino-all water and it rains all the time. Glug.

Geonosis-rocks, rocks and more rocks with a population of war-mongering termites. Forget that.

Death Star (if you want to consider it a planet)-probably nice if you're an Imperial, but i wouldn't make any long-term plans to live there.

Yavin IV-not bad, lots of jungle but huge temples too. Probably would be ok.

Hoth-I like cold weather, but this is a bit much. Good chance of ending up a Wampa snack too.

Dagobah-if you're from Louisania or the swampy parts of Florida, you could probably handle it. Just don't cross the crazy little green hermit guy who lives in that little hut by the swamp. You'll regret it.

Bespin-If you already live in LA, you could probably handle Bespin. Not the worst place to live.

Endor-kinda boring, no cities or technology, plus if you have midget-phobia you'd need years of therapy after you left. On the up side, they seem to have fun parties there.

Death Star II-see Death Star I, except for the probable presence of Geonosian workers, plus nothing works in all likelihood as it's under construction (and soon destruction).

Annnnnnnnd the winner easily is...Naboo.

 

Considering my allergies, I'll stick to articifial environments (Coruscant, Bespin [Cloud City], DS and DSII).

 

Corulag. They have the best chinese restaurants in the galaxy on Corulag.

I am not an EU reader, so my following comment applies to the SW Films only.

It is interesting to note that seemingly any species in the SW universe can travel to and fro any planet just as we earthlings would travel from one country to another, as though the oxygen concentration, planetary gravity and other parameters are identical everywhere (making special suits and breathing apparatus unnecessary).

To answer the thread's query: my answer is Naboo or Alderaan for prolonged living.

Bespin and Coruscant for a short-term vacation

I'm a rain and snow kind of person, so it'd be a toss up between Kamino and Hoth. Probably Kamino, I'd never get tired of those rain and thunderstorms.

I'd like to live on Coruscant, but have a place on Naboo as well for retreats.

 

Alderaan, I'd enjoy a planet with no weapons. It would seem peacful, 'til the Empire comes knocking...

 

i would either live on dantooine or naboo,from wat i kno,dantooine,is a small,planet with a low population,my kind of style,very peaceful,naboo,or coruscant would be next ...correct me if im wrong,give me a decription of dantooine...lol

 

Alderaan IMO best planet to live on till the Empire showed up, then maybe Naboo if its still around or some planet in the Corellia system.
