So this is something interesting I noticed after multiple changes have been made to a certain [minor] scene in The Phantom Menace. In the theatrical/VHS cut of the film, Senator Orn Free Taa has two human aides in his pod (ILM Visual Effects Executive Producer Chrissie England and Lucas Digital President Jim Morris). Actually, the only Star Wars actors I've had the pleasure of meeting in person was actually Jim Morris; this was one of his few acting cameos in the films he's worked on. He commented something along the lines of "they put an alien head over mine after." The DVD release replaced both humans with Twi'lek aides. The backstory? The blue one is the same character later seen with the Senator in Attack of the Clones, and the red one was originally filmed before the first fill-ins were edited in. But that leaves one character unaccounted for. Yes, that is Bib Fortuna, the famous alien from Jabba's court in Return of the Jedi (played by Alan Ruscoe). So there's another issue - wasn't Bib Fortuna introduced earlier, on Tatooine? Yes, that's him as well (played by Matthew Wood). Effects designer Shaune Harrison actually explains this somewhat: http://prostheticmakeupfx.com/2014/02/04/288/comment-page-1/ The Tatooine scenes were filmed at a later point during production, at which point, plans for Fortuna's backstory were altered from his senatorial background, effectively retconning Ruscoe's Fortuna (similar to Adrian Dunbar's Bail Organa). It's important for everyone to know that this is indeed Bib Fortuna; a lot of fans have tried to argue otherwise. But why else would they have gone through with the effort of erasing him from the film? And why would the second Bib Fortuna be wearing the same costume and same prosthetics? Ruscoe further confirms that the script identified the character positively as such. Another mixup occurred when Ruscoe's character of Lott Dod in Attack of the Clones was misidentified as Gilramos Libkath, and then Rune Haako. Even the current "canon" continues to make the same mistake.
Hmm, strange. Found this on Wookiepedia. Afterwards, he was present on Coruscant as an aide to Senator Orn Free Taa during the Galactic Senate's hearing. After Queen Amidala of Naboo pressed for a Vote of No Confidence in Finis Valorum's position as Supreme Chancellor, Fortuna further encouraged the Senate for an immediate vote. But its quite sudden and doesnt have any entry in biography. Maybe its a joke that lucas pulled off
