Big Brother would like to thank...

For awhile there, the end of the BB game seemed a long way off. What began with 12 housemates, 3 months ago, evolved into an increasingly smaller group... and while the number of housemates decreased, the friendships between those left remaining only grew. And while the housemates may be remembered for their excellence in the Murder Mystery, or the Radio Show, or any number of other accomplished tasks, it will be the friendships forged between those involved that will leave the lasting impressions.

In particular, I'd like to say thanks to the final 4, who contributed so much to the house -- Casper, Kerryn, Meg and Tom -- you were a joy to... er, boss around. Heh. In particular, my thoughts go to Tom... good luck, and I do hope to see you back on the boards... you've been a great person to get to know, even in the most interesting of circumstances.

Finally, I'd like to thank the Mod Squad, for letting me try out this experiment with a brand new forum, and, of course, the community of posters who participated in the game, by rigourously sending in their eviction PMs week after week. I hope you had fun watching the house!

To the housemates -- in a short time, I'll be returning your VIPship for the "Reunion" special in this forum, which will last for another 48 hours.

After that, well... the doors will be shut to the house. That is, until Big Brother 2 rolls on by.

It's been fun, guys. It's been a treat to see you guys interact and create a sense of unity not unlike that of the JC "Golden Era". If the whole of the JC Forums were as tight-knit and close as what the Big Brother house has been, then they'd be better for it.

Lastly, congratulations to Casper, who made it to the final two and was a true leader in the house, and of course, Kerryn... with your sense of humour, intelligence, and unsurpassed creative talents. (Just look at those colours! And the banner! Woo!)

And I, Steve, would like to thank you for coming up with / organizing / running this game, which gave us all a chance to get to know each other. The past three months have been great, and I enjoyed it all.

Without it, we'd still be faceless posters on a messageboard to each other. Now, we're the best of friends -- especially those I consider to be the heart of it all: me, Kerryn, Tom and Meg. I was lucky to be thrown into this game with them. No matter what happens, we'll always be very linked because of this; we've seen it from the inside, and experienced it all.

For a brief moment, we proved it was possible to have real love and genuine affection for each other here.

But the wine and the song
Like the seasons, all have gone

 

Thank you Steve and Casper. I am honored that I was part of a group that grew to be more than the sum of its parts. It is an experience I won't forget.

 

Psst... we can't forget cbjedi who was one of the guests.

Anyway, I'd like to say thanks to epic who ran this great game for the past several months... and to the mod squad who allowed the game in the first place. And of course I'd like to thank everyone that participated... you were a lot of fun, and it was great getting to know you all better. I had a blast.

 

I would definitely like to thank epic for starting this game. It was awesome. (And the other mods for allowing it.)

And I'd like to thank everyone in here for being such great people and as friendly and wonderful as they are. I had a great time when I was in here.
