ST Billie Lourd (Connix) in Episode IX

I like Connix as a slightly-more-than-bit character. I don’t think she needs a role beyond that. That said, it’ll be nice to see her again and I’m happy for Billie.

 

I see her as the ST equivalent to Wedge.

 

Yes, I am happy for Billie and appreciative that she seems to "get" the fandom. She did not have to give Disney her blessing to use Carrie's stock footage, and Leia's return would have been squashed at that (rightfully so). I actually could see her character and Rose together in some manner. I like the pairing.

 

I am happy to hear she is returning - I really like the character, and I'm hoping she takes up a prominent position in Resistance leadership alongside Poe. Also, can we please have a 3.75 action figure of her already?!

 

Lourde and Tran both look amazing in that phot BTW.

 

General Connix? In theory she and Poe are the highest remaining Resistance Officers. It would be cool for Billie to take her mom's position sorta/kinda

And seriously, make a figure of her already.

I'm the opposite, I'm 100% in for a Poe/Connix subplot or even hints of a romance in episode IX. I see it as a nice tribute to Carrie (who lobbied for her daughter to be in TFA) that Billie's role expand a bit more for IX.

I'm glad that Billie Lourd is back in Episode 9.

 

It's nice she's back, yep i can see how she's somehow the "wedge antilles" of the ST. I doubt she'll have a bigger role in ep9 but it's still possible. More likely it will be closer to her role in TLJ, her being part of the main cast now is a sort of glorified billing i suppose.

 

Would be an interesting concept if Leia (despite being shown through unused footage) somehow transfers her spirit into Connix who speaks for her when Leia dies.

This is what I'd like to see most. I'd love to see it come down to Poe and Connix as the leaders of the Resistance, but in the end, Poe recognizes that she is more suited for the role, and Connix finishes the film as the Resistance leader.

It would be cool if one of the final shots in Episode IX was Connix awarding medals to Poe and Finn.

 

What? No medal for BB-8? Oh well; I guess it wouldn't make sense, since he has no neck.

 

Seems like a logical upgrade. She went with Poe last movie, stands to reason he trusts her and he's now in charge. It gives him someone to speak to about logistical Rebellion things

 

I think there is chemistry between her and Poe Dameron.

They've done that with the Nightsisters, not sure it would work on the side of the light though. If Leia were to fall, I don't think she'd go the route of possession. TLJ already established that she expects the Resistance to look to the next generation (Poe), so the same will likely apply to Connix. They can be guided by Leia, but should act / think independently.

 

Series should have made her more prominent.

 

I love Billie Lourd. And I’m glad she gets to continue her mother’s legacy. But so far, I don’t see any evidence that she’s a stellar actor or anything (early TLJ scenes are a bit cringey, though she was much better during the mutiny). So I imagine her role in IX will be more than glorified extra, but nothing that substantial.

 

Yeah, it's nice she's there.
Good that she's a recognisable background level character with a few lines.
Does she have a Hasbro figure? She deserves one.
