Black Robes

Just curious about something. Including Old Republic and EU, how many examples are there of Light Side Jedi wearing black robes? The only one I know off-hand is Luke in RotJ.

 

Anakins were blackish...

 

there were some close, but not quite black. Barriss Offee and her master Luminara Unduli were close, but not really black. Anakin wore dark green in ATOC, dark brown in ROTS.

 

I've never seen anything that says black was not allowed forJedi

 

Yoda would wear black on Younglings Appreciation Day.

 

Where do you see dark green on Anakin anywhere in ATOC?

 

i believe his cloak is dark green.

 

He wore a black jumpsuit, and a very dark grey tunic - but the robe he wore over that was brown rather than black (that is - if this pic is actually from a still frame or deleted scene, and is not a photoshop - I don't know for sure):

Anyway, to answer the question, I remember seeing a decent range of colors in the Dark Horse comics in particular. Several Jedi sometimes wore a dark purple/black sort of color for their outer robes (always hard to tell exactly because of how color gets used in comics, kinda like Superman's black hair being drawn partially blue).

The visual variety never extended to bright or flashy colors that I recall, mind you, but you'd see shades of browns and tans and kinda reddish and that purple/black and whatever.

 

I have to admit, I don't see it. But I've never been the most observant.
