I think we can ALL agree that Michael Bolton should be number one. And the Goo Goo Dolls, Blind Melon, and the Doors do not belong up there!

 

I agree. Creed should not be there either.

 

Im no creed fan but Primus and Oingo Boingo should never be on any list that has "Worst" in the title, unless it has to do with hair and make-up.

Well Doors definitely belongs to the list.

 

Yeah the fact that Live and Kansas are on there really make me mad. Let's think of some replacements!!!

Lists mean nothing, yet I agree with this one for the most part. I havn't even heard of a lot of those bands, actualy, but creed deserves a higher spot. I can't fathom why ANYONE would like this extreamly poor and sorry excuse for a band. I know someone who is a huge Insane Clown Posse fan, I should show him the list.

I also agree that the Doors should NOT be on there at all. Get them as far away from this list as possible.

But, again, lists are meaningless.

Why on earth is Primus on there?!?!?! I'm sorry, but even though they're extremely weird does not mean they lack talent. Their bassist is a god and we should all bow down to him. They're actually original, which is almost impossible to find nowadays. So Blender can shove it.

I totally agree with Gwar to replace Primus. That just seems to suit. They are 10 times weirder, have no talent, and are full of themselves "YOU MUST BOW DOWN TO THE ALMIGHTY GWAR!!!" It's ridiculous!

I'd go one further and say Michael Bolton isn't even a human.

 

I don't think Whitesnake or Yngwie Malmsteen deserve to be there either...

There's nothing on there that really bothered me at all (mainly because I haven't heard most of them).

Brian Salad Surgery by ELP is almost universally recognized as one of their best albums, and it's one of the worst records I've ever heard. Rick Wakemen was great in Yes, but what I've heard of his solo stuff is pretty wretched, and the Doors might just be the worst of all the 'legendary' bands.

 

I agree about their #1.

But what is the deal with having the Goo Goo Dolls on there. They have a lot of songs I enjoy. Iris is a great song.

Sometimes I honestly think they just throw darts at a board to pick out some of the names on their lists:

*dart is thrown at massive list*

*Blender Writer inspects what name the dart hit*: "Alright, it looks like the Beatles are the worst band of all time. Good work everyone. We really got an accurate list this time!"

Simply put, 50 Best/Worst lists are a waste of everyone's time. They prove nothing. They only show a small group of people's opinions.

 

The Doors? What the hell are The Doors doing in there??? I mean, seriously. Post-Jim Doors maybe (those last two albums after he died are just awful) but not them in their prime!

I think they're referring to Bolton's band? Or any specific singer's band.

Regardless, The Doors? I'm guessing that the people putting this list together have never heard, oh, the album that's called, um, The Doors . . .

yeah Gwar is nothing more than a bunch of Art students dressed in costumes. You are not supposed to take them seriously. Its just a joke.. geez


well I for one cant stand any of the modern rock bands out there right now.. they all sound the same to me and agree that singers are not a band..even tho Michael Bolton is a no talent (beep) clown

 

There's a disturbing trend of pop culture to devalue older things. The Doors were just named by Rolling Stone magazine to be one of the Immortals of Rock 'n Roll, maybe putting them on the list was Blender's way of taking a jab at thier rival.

"Oh, yeah? Immortal, huh? Well, we think they suck! So there!"

Bottom line is, that people will still be listening to their favorite songs from all these artists a long time after the last copy of the last issue of Blender has been slid onto the floor of a birdcage.
