blink noise

anyone know where I can get that "blink noise" that is often used in cartoons when characters are dumbfounded? I searched for "blink.wav" and "anime blink sound," but found no results. can anyone help?

 

the cartoon "blink" is simply two high notes from a xylophone... maybe that will help with your search...

ACTUALLY. The instrument you're thinking of is a marimba. Say it with me: Ma-rim-ba.

Hmmmmm, haven't heard the sound in a while, but i do know what marimbas and xylophones sound like(since i played them in band). I would have to differ and say that the noise in fact is a xylophone and not a marimba. If I remember correctly the blink noise is sharp and crisp such as blinks tend to be, a marimba would be too soft and lingering for that sound. The only way it would be a marimba is if they used the hard xylophone mallets(which is quite unusual since you can damage the marimba with them).

Are you talking about the sound Zorak makes when he blinks?

I have no idea how to do that. Maybe try hitting a coke bottle, or tapping a glass window, or maybe something with a vacuum . . . those are always good for sound effects . . . vacuums.

 

My recommendation is to find, or make a clip of a water drop (you know what i mean) , and up the frequency.

Spaceghost is right about sharks and bears and dynamite tho, the ghostplanet is just not ready for his incredible wealth of knowledge.
