Boba Fett's Wife

I was reading Timetales, and saw something about a bounty hunter called Sintas, something about her being Boba Fett's wife at one stage and that they had a kid

What the?

 

I believe its true. Don't remember where I read it but boba's got a kid, its so kewl!

but it references a infinities story,
so maybe he does have a son but the stories written in infinities are not counted.

 

You guys have to realize that just because something's in Tales doesn't mean it definitely didn't happen. It's just possible that it didn't.

Wise words. And anyone who's paying attention will notice that nearly every SW Tales story (yes, there are exceptions) published prior to the release of AotC in theatres has been referenced in one way or another, and is thus canon.

 

Well, actually, the story itself is still not canon; only the reference in the canon source is.

So if an Infinities source says that Luke can square-dance while juggling lightsabers, that is not canon. But if a canon source simply says that Luke can square dance, that's all. It is still not canon that he can juggle lightsabers.

Well, the fact still stands that Fett knew Sintas, she loved him (whether he loved her is questionable. This IS Boba Fett we're talking about) and they had a son together. That much is canon.

 

While there's no evidence that they were ever married, they did have a kid.

Considering Boba's views on pre marital sex in Tales of the Bounty Hunters, they were most likely married.

I wonder if abother reason Fett didn't take advantage of Leia was loyalty to Sintas? Remember, he may have ended up on the wrong side but Boba Fett is still quite an honorable man...

Boba Fett having a kid who is his heir is a bit creepy, I would like to see some short story do something with that...

I dont know a new Mandalorian amoured Fett might be cool. If you asked my a year ago I would have said no way get lost but now after seeing Jango Fett in AOTC, I think it would be cool for a run in with the Solo Kids and Ben with a new Fett.

 

That very same story in Tales of the Bounty Hunters also said that Boba Fett had "never so much as held a woman in his arms, Boba Fett, and the desire for a woman came to him less frequently, with the passage of years; but in Fett's mind, his chastity made him no less of a man".

If Tales is "canon", then Fett is a virgin and has no kid.

 

That whole "chastity" bit could be referring to past-tense, that SINCE he "left" Sintas and their child, he had not slept with another woman or held one in his arms (due to his views on premarital sex from 'The Tales From Jabba's Palace', which probably also apply to EXTRAmerital sex as well). I don't think the TotBH story actually gives any indication that he'd NEVER consorted with a woman.

Also, correction, my earlier post erroneously mis-lists Boba's child as being his "son" -- we don't actually know the gender of the child.
I personally think it'd be cool for "Fett" to show up in the NJO... but when the helmet comes off, we learn it's a FEMALE, and it's Boba's daughter. I think that'd be the coolest thing.

 

So, if this whole fling and child thing did happen, it happened around the ANH time period, right?

Well, we know it DID happen -- the issue of Gamer makes that clear. I'm just not sure WHEN it happened. I didn't really get an indication from 'Outbid But Never Outgunned' as to when that story took place.

 

LOL.. If Boba Fett had a daughter I bet Jacen would fallen in love with her. Wouldn't that make the Solo's family head spin.

 

Naw, Danni Quee and the Fett daughter would get in a fight, and Danni would be dead before even getting a chance to open her mouth.

 

Any kid of Boba's would probably be raised by his wife...I doubt Boba would have the time for a child. Even Jango had to leave Boba with the Kaminoans for long periods while he worked...and Boba is even more committed to his work. So a new bounty hunter Fett is probably unlikely...

Actually the issue of gamer with the story explicitly says that they got married.
