How come no has written a book on Plo Koon during the CW. I mean hes gotta do some thing after all he led the Republic to victory in the stark HS wars, was in all 3 movies, had his own death scene, his master was a Wookie Jedi, he was in 2 video games(jedi power battles and his species in JKA)jedi council member, could have been a even stronger sith than vader, one of the few jedi to use a similar lighting attack, etc. He deserves a book.If any writer sees this make a book as him being a main character.
Just be patient, friend. Remember that Del Ray can only put out a certain number of star wars books a year so I doubt we're going to get many novels focusing solely on background characters that don't attract hordes of slobbering fanboys (e.g. most female Jedi, but primarily Aayla Secura). Just give the Expanded Universe time to...er...expand. And if you can't wait you can always start an internet petition to Lucasfilm/Del Ray/Darkhorse to have more Plo Koon since internet petitions really get peoples attention. ...ok, no they don't.
Kel Dor had a special trait that when they see to many deaths they becime enraged and are twice as powerful.
It might make an interesting read if the story is developed properly. Aside from a Republic Commando book coming out next year, does anyone know if any more Clone Wars based stories will be done, or is the issue of the Clone Wars something that is pretty much finished? Or is it just a matter of an author or authors developing a good story line and getting the thumbs up from Lucas or whoever?
As far as we know, there are no further plans to do more work in the Clone Wars era... from books or comics, at least. DHC's lineup after the end of Republic and Empire looks to be going a different direction, so while you might occasionally be a tale set in that period, it won't be a focus in any way. And DR's book schedule for this contract is already fairly well outline - and no Clone Wars. However, early information from Lucas himself suggests that the animated television series that's being worked on will definitely be an expansion on the Clone Wars cartoons, but done differently (and hopefully with a bit more regard for continuity ). So the Clone War will still be happening, but in a much smaller way. Back on topic - since when do Kel Dor have that? Never heard of anything like it... don't believe everything you see. Yes, Plo Koon looks cool. He even had a cool storyline with the Stark Hyperspace War. But that does not necessarily make him the best character for a book. They cancelled the Saesee Tiin book for that very reason (and, supposedly, because the writing was pretty lousy as well) - that most readers (read: Casual Star Wars fans that make up a large portion of the readers) don't care that much about the characters. - Keralys
So basically, after this Republic Commando book comes out sometime next year, nothing except a cartoon series is expected to be done on the Clone Wars, at least for the next couple of years. Perhaps there could be one or more books done based on the ten years between TPM and AOTC. For such a long period of time, I'm surprised that only two novels have been done on it. OTOH, I wouldn't consider Clone Wars books finished for good. There is still plenty that could be done. I've seen info on a book that takes place after ANH coming out soon, and that stuff is almost 30 years old. Maybe they could give Aayla Secura and/or Quinlan Vos a novel.
Aayla and Quin are both covered pretty extensivly in DHC. As much as I'd like to read a novel about them I can't see it happening just because of the volume of "screen" time they've already had in the comics.
Maybe a "Tales of the Hat" anthology will emerge. A coffee table book, replete with lavish illustrations and essays by noted artists and authors. NOT. But we can dream.
I wonder if Plo went one on one with Asajj Ventress or Greivous at some point during the Clone war? I can't think of a story to go with it, but maybe that could go in a book.
Maybe K'Krukh lent Plo his hat, and when the ARC-170s shot down Plo's fighter, he quickly donned the hat and avoided death and that's why it doesn't actually say that he died in the Databank!
NOS>> plo survived order 66 and joined the alliance, but died at yavin attacking the 1st death star.. his alias was Jek Porkins
Plo was not as good as Vader but he was one of the best jedi fighters. Ive never heard about that Kel Dor Trait about the death thing, and it was True i doubt Plo would become "enraged" thats so un jedi. Especialy for someone that usualy sees issues in black and white, that is a Kel Dor trait.
Plo Koon is one of my favourite Jedi and I would Love a book about him. Maybe he could lead a squad of RepComs on a mission. Ahh don't you just love dreaming?
