Bossk died in ROTJ...

Before I get started with this little known fact, this thread is for the purists and Ignores the EU (as it should be.) and goes on the films.

Boba Fett's dead and so is IG-88 (at bespin). If you disagree , you probably shouldnt read on :0)

Bossk was on Jabbas sail barge in ROTJ. Yes, you CAN see him on camera if you look close. After Luke threatens Jabba, you see some aliens laughing (ree-yees and some goons) and behind them you can clearly see Bossk for a second, in his yellow jumpsuit.

Anyways , the barge blew, everyone died ( nothing supports anyone escaping in the films). And Bossk went Down with the ship.

Remember back when the movie was being filmed he was just an extra with no importance, as was all the aliens. Nobody expected the EU would write them life stories...

I believe you can see a droid that is similar to IG-88s in the room where Chewie finds Threepio's parts.

 

A robot could probably be destroyed beyond repair which is pretty much the same as death.

Though I do support the EU, it would be nice to have some characters who we see die <i>stay dead</i>.

Yep, poor Bossk. Has it ever been said for sure that the droid at the Cloud City junk room was that of IG-88? Yeah, Boba dies too. What about Dengar? He was at Jabba's Palace, but he's never seen on the sail barge, or have I just missed it all these years?

 

Bossk and Dengar were in Jabba's Palace? I've never seen them there. Also, just because they were in his palace doesn't mean they were on his sail barge.

 

Bossk was on the sail barge for sure. Its in the movie.


Dengar and Bossk can be seen in the place as well, before that. Dengar isnt on the barge.

While Jabba and a few of his alian mates were on the sail barge, where were the rest of them? still at the palace? what on Earth did they do for entertainment while Jabba was away? must be a pretty borring place.

This one isn't about Boba, but all of the passengers on the sail barge.
I've seen Bossk and Dengar in the palace. Dengar actually pops up a few times as a matter of fact. You gotta be quick to spot Bossk though.
In comparison, in the EU half the passengers survive
The band lives on, Bib survives, Boba survives, Bossk lives.
OK, so nowhere near half. Just the popular characters the EU could cash in on

If you're ignoring the EU, how can you say 1) that was even Bossk who was on the sail barge, as I've yet to hear that it even *was* him in all of the EU I've read. And 2) how is it possible for IG-88 to be dead if he wasn't killed on screen and only in the EU?

Though back to the topic at hand, Bossk wasn't the only Trandoshan scum in the galaxy, in fact most of his species dealt in the crimanel underground, so its quite feasible that was just other Trandoshan in a flight suit like Quest mentioned. Oh and lastly, are you even sure it was Bossk on the Executor in ESB? He wasn't given a name.

 

Bossk wasn't in RotJ AT ALL. I don't believe he's in the OS RotJ Databank either. Sure there are pics of Bossk on the barge floating around, but I assume they're from deleted scenes like the one where Ree-Yees was chatting with Yak-Face.

And furthermore, deleted scenes are not the same thing as EU.

I never noticed Bossk in ROTJ. I noticed Dengar, sure, but had no idea that Bossk was there. I'll have to look for him next time I watch ROTJ.

That would be Red Dwarf my friend. And calculators don't go there, they just die.

 

starwars.com says Bossk was on Jabba's sail barge, but says he is "hard to spot in the finished film".

Look for Dengar after Luke falls into the Rancor pit and all the aliens are closing in to get a good look. He's on the left-hand side of the screen, seen from the back.

Then, when Jabba is pronouncing the Sarlacc sentence on Han, Luke, and Chewie, you can see him in one of those shots, standing in the background.

And yes, if you just consider the movies to be the real deal as far as the Star Wars story, then that was Bossk and he is dead, and so is Boba Fett.

Played by other extra's to A. Boose toy sales for previous figures. B. Re-cycle old props from EMP and ANH. C. Carry on Lucas tradition to remind the viewers that within the limited confines of his (at the time, 3 part epic) that all villians / evil-doer eventually get what they deserve.

IG-88 was NOT killed in ESB. It was a similiar design of droid only. The metal plating wasn't even the same color. And I believe by that rationale you could say that IG-88 was in ANH as his head is part of a drink dispenser apparently in the creature cantina.

As far as another Trandoshan wearing the same yellow flight suit a'la Greedo/Beedo/Rodian Falcon thugs-

I suppose its possible. But I doubt it.

Rodians wear mutual name brands clothing cuz their follwers.

A Trandoshan is his own lizard.
