Bounty Hunter Wars

hi, here are a few questions driving me crazy lately, due to my lack of knowledge at many SW places:

Did Bossk escape from the prison he was sent in by Chenlambec and Tinian? He was going to be killed, so how else could he still be there in BHW?

And... the main story is playing after episode 6... how come nobody seemed to know that the emperor and vader are already dead? they're still talking of them as if they were still alive... and i doubt anybody could have kept it a secret...

plz help clearing my confusion.

 

Okay, pretty simple answers, here:

1). Yes, Borsk did escape, though we never really find out how.

2). No one knew of Vader + Palpatine's deaths because they weren't dead at the time. The NOW segments take place during ROTJ, and finish roughly at the same time the movie does.

That should put your mind at ease.

EDIT: Oh great, R_W has contradicted me. Well, ignore him. He's incorrect.

 

Bossk did escape. And it was just after RotJ. So word of Vader and Palpatine's death hadn't spread everywhere yet.

 

By the end of BHW Dengar and Manaroo were just hearing about Endor and there was no mention then of Vader/Palpatine having died. After that Fett got the evidence from Neelah to take to Black Sun and that was the end of the story.

 

but we're talking about bounty hunters, who always get the latest information as fast as possible... and did nobody notice that all rebels are suddenly partying on endor?

 

Now that I have a copy of Hard Merchandise in front of me...
At the very end, Dengar and Manaroo are talking. Manaroo says "Just a few minutes ago I intercepted a comm unit transmission from the Rebel Alliance headquarters out at Sullust to the Scavenger Squadron's commander here [Kuat]. The battle's over". Her voice dropped almost to a whisper. "And the Rebels won. It's the Empire that was crushed...to a billion pieces".
So both BHW and ROTJ end around the same time. No mention is made at the end of Vader or the Emperor's death - just that the Empire was defeated.
Edit - and according to NEGTC, Bossk dug himself out of the prison holding cell and recaptured his ship The Hound's Tooth from Tinian and Chenlambec.
