[BREAKING NEWS] Carbomb in Madrid

    Just heard on CNN International - "strong explosion in Madrid airport's Terminal 4"

    A Time Warner Employee said people were being escorted to the tarmac....



    EDIT: Reuters reporting (according to CNN International) that there was a threat.

    Not sure yet if it was a bomb, gas leak, something else.

    EDIT 2: Heard something about trains - not sure if they were referring to the train bombings or if a train runs near the terminal.

    EDIT 3: Now being called a carbomb that took place in a parking garage adjacent to terminal 4, causing damage to both structures.


    EDIT 4: No casualties at this point.

    There was a warning call before the bomb went off - I just read up on the 2004 bombings, and bombings with warnings are usually carried out by ETA.... I thought they agreed to a ceasefire, though.

    So of course that's the first place he's gonna attempt to destroy with his otherworldy powers once he died...

    Mm, I could wager a guess or two. It'd mostly involve the population trends and the historical events that happened in the middle ages.

    Perhaps that has now ended or it's a copycat to try and make fears of retaliation of Saddam Hussein's execution realized.

    But this will undoubtedly cause security at local train and bus terminals in the US to go on higher alert than before. I don't envy travelers already hampered by high security and mother nature.

    If this was ETA why pick several hours after Saddam was executed. One has to assume that if this was ETA then this was pre - planned without knowledge that Hussein would be executed last night/today. Were they still somehow ignorate of the news? Or did they know and just decided to go through with it anyways.
