Sorry to have to do this but I attempted to download Pink5 but just after the opening crawl the whole quicktime viewfinder went white and quicktime crashed.
About a quarter into the post production doc on Broken Alliegance the same thing happened. :(

I'l report on anymore I find out, thankfully I have broadband but anyone on 56k could be extremely miffed.

Azzem? Any chance you could re-upload these?

Most of the time it's because of high traffic. Keep trying. Took me a couple of tries to get Pink 5 and The Formula but it finally worked.

Pink 5 worked for me fine this morning. Could just be a router inbetween you and the server had a little hiccup. There's no known issues with the servers as of right now.

EDIT: Well, it seems that i'm getting multiple reports of the same problem, so lemme dig a little deeper into this.

Yeah, pink5 downloaded about 3/4 complete, then it said "the requested browser plugin could not blah blah blah". Which is odd, y'know, since I had already watched most of it.

Yeah, the Formula gives me problems too. And the BA thingie doo.

Are you guys downloading the files to your desktop and then watching them - or trying to watch them as they download? We always recommend downloading files to your hard-drive and watching them from there.

The servers do seem to be a little slow, but the files on them are okay (at least Pink Five and the BA Doco) becuase I downloaded and checked both of these earlier and they where both fine.

with pink5 this happened to me a couple of times, the first time it got about 15% done and then just acted like it was done. but when i tried to open it it just blew up, then the second time it got about 45% done and the same thing happened when i tried to open it. But the third time it worked.

So i guess you should all just keep trying.

Yeah, i can confirm that the files are fine, it's just the downloading process that seems to be fouling up. Jeff says he's going to check it when he gets home, so stay tuned.

As some others have mentioned: Make sure you are downloading the file directly to your hard drive, then watch it. TF.N does not have streaming support with any of the movie files we host. Therefore you are better off saving the files locally and then watching them.

Additionaly, our hosting company recently moved our download server to a new co-lo facility and it appears this move has precipiated the spate of new download problems.

I'm working with them to see if we can isolate the issues and then fix it. The only good thing I can add right now is at least we have more bandwidth for the downloads than we had previously. I know that doesn't do us much good if you still can't get the files. ;-P

<pre-recorded message> Thanks for your patience, we are working to restore service.</pre-recorded message>

I must also add my point that trying to DL pink 5 died durring 3 consecutive tries and yes, I always put them on my hard drive.

In the end I went for the Low res version of Pink 5 (great film btw!) and that worked fine, I always put them on the hard drive and view them when finished.
Cheers for looking into this and not just deleting the topic. Much appreciated. :)
I'l re-download the BA Doc later on.
