    Buzz Aldrin Visit

    Saturday 18 June 2005

Dr & Mrs Buzz Aldrin are visiting the National Space Centre on Saturday 18 June to view the new Human Spaceflight : Lunar Base 2025 experience and meet the people behind it. He will tour the rest of the exhibition and address visitors as part of the full day?s activities.

On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong landed their Lunar Module on the moon's Sea of Tranquility and became the first two humans to walk on the moon.

The landing was witnessed by the largest worldwide television audience in history. Upon return Buzz was presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest honour amongst over 50 other distinguished awards and medals from the United States and numerous other countries.

Dr Aldrin will be addressing visitors and signing his new book Reaching for the Moon at the National Space Centre in the afternoon.

A good source for info like this is

    http://www.eventsarena.com

I only found that site this week - definitely recommended for info such as dates of any film premieres, conventions, book signings, big names in stage plays, and more. Collecting all the info together in one place.

I've started putting any event info I come across on there, and there was lots on there I didn't know about till now.

Good place to share any events info with everyone.

BUZZ IS A DEAD SET LEGEND!!!

    Check out this video! :D [face_laugh] [face_mischief] =D=

The man is in his seventies, he has flown around space, and he can still kick some ass! He's like a regular Captain Kirk, or something!

I think someone made the mistake of saying to him that the moon landings were a fake - not a good idea to do that. :D

I spoke to the Space Centre today.

There isn't an exact time for the signing tomorrow, but it may be around 1pm or 1.30pm. He will only be signing his book, no other memorabilia.

He will be leaving by 2pm

So it looks like he'll be doing his own look round the centre, followed by the signing and then a few words.
