Can anyone tell that Conan O'Brien and Denis Leary are cousins?

I can a little, but it's still kind of hard to believe.

I do, I think they are both great and think it would be cool if they are related. Conan is the funniest guy on late night, and Denis is one of the most sexiest standup comedians ever!

 

Leary is the only one that's actually funny, though.

That kind of hurt, but you know i'm right. O'Brien thinks he's funny but he's overly lame. Leary's down to earth as a comedian. Thats what i like about him.

 

Leary is probably my second fave stand up behind Carlin. Conan isn't too bad, sometimes is too goofy even for me. And I didn't know they were cousins. That's kinda cool.

Conan went to my high school, and spoke at the graduation before mine as a guest speaker. It was hilarious, his speach! Definently a cool guy.

 

They're not first cousins or anything. They can trace their roots back to a common ancestor in Ireland or something like that.

 

It says it on both their bios, so it's probably true, but I've found that IMDB is often rife with errors.

 

It was something they brought up one time when Denis was on Conan's show. I think it started out as a joke since they're both full-blooded Irish who grew up in Boston. Then, someone did some digging and found out that they do have common ancestry somewhere along the way.

It's not like they spend Christmas together.
