Can Rodians eat hard food with their "snout"?

    I always wondered this. I imagine them as having to drink liquids or soups with their snout instead of being able to eat normal food.

    I thought they had a snout for a nose, and a mouth underneath it.

    Mabe they eat like flies, regurgetating an acidic saliva to break down solid foods so they can be sucked up.
    That would be cool.

    They eat normally with their mouths. But their digestive system adds a sugary sweetness to a small portion of what they eat. Once this process is completed, they pour that small portion from their snout and eat it as dessert (with their mouth.) It's kind of disgusting, but its a fact.
