Discussion Celebration 2025 Japan: This Is the Way (to new reveals)

It doesn't look like there's a thread for this yet, so here we go: Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025, scheduled for April 18-20, 2025 in Chiba, Japan.

It's over a year away, but the official website shared the key art for the convention today, so it seemed as good a time as any to start getting our expectations way too high. Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 2, at 4 p.m. PST / 7 p.m. EST, and Friday, May 3, at 8 a.m. JST for those who are interested in going.

 

I will be going and I’m very excited.

But don't you remember when they moved Ted Kaczynski's cabin with a helicopter? I'm sure they can do something like that with Chiznuk's basement, and a plane.

 

I’ll say this is one of the weirdest things I have read on this website. And that’s a feat

Yeah, the art would work better without the swishy black streaks. Needed an editor.

 

I see the swishy black streaks as an homage to the black swishy hair of Kayako Saeki (佐伯 伽椰子, Saeki Kayako), the main protagonist in Ju-On.
Just as she bears a grudge, so does Vader.

 

In terms of future productions they would be showcasing... it's kind of hard to gage at this point what would be ready for presentation.

I guess Andor season 2 would be the big focus?
Possibly something from Ahsoka season 2 if that goes into production within the next year?
Maybe a first look at The Mandalorian and Grogu, even though it'll be over a year away?
An update on The New Jedi Order film?
Visions season 3?

 

Until today, I had successfully hidden the fact of my identity. No longer. I am Kevin Feige.

 

There have been reports that Mando and Grogu will go into production in June of this year, so it’s very possible that they could show an early trailer to kickstart the marketing campaign.

 

I'd love to hear something about progress on Rogue Squadron.

By the spring of 2025, they should be entering post production of Mando/Grogu if not there already. They should also be into or close to filming the Rey movie. So they could have the cast revealed around then and present them. They may also (hopefully) have updates on the Dawn of the Jedi and maybe an official release date for that one.
