I know there are TONS of character suggestion threads, but I hope this one's a little different. What I aim to do is suggest a character, then suggest a voice actor to go with it, hopefully with an explanation. So to get the ball rolling, here are some of my picks...

Master Zao (Veknoid soup making Jedi not involved in the war). Though not completely involved, it would be cool to have him as a cameo. Maybe guest starring to make a moral choice.
First choice(s): Randall Duk Kim (Master Oogway the turtle from Kung Fu Panda). He was just gold in that movie and would fit it just right if you ask me, all wise and calm. Of course, getting actual movie stars is pretty hard to do, so...
Second Choice(s): Hmm. This is a tricky one. Maybe Greg Baldwin (replacement for Mako on Avatar) or Greg Eagles (Grim from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy)
Third choice(s): Stan 'the man' Lee. You may remember him as a cameo from Marvel movies.

Even Piell (the OTHER midget council member who is NOT Yoda's species, recently featured in one of the recent novels). He's a warrior, and he's got attitude. Would be a funny combination, but he can be potentially badass. I think it would also be more natural a progression. Maybe show an episode where he gets too old
First choice(s): Dustin Hoffman, for his role as Sifu in Kung Fu Panda. Doubtful you could get him into another voice acting gig, especially on what is perceived as a kid's show. The guy's grumpy enough already with his CURRENT career. Someone who can convey a forceful and decisive persona. Of course, if we're going with a high voice, I highly recommend Richard Horvitz (Invader ZIIIIM, as well as Billy from the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy). Just imagine that voice on him. Have your vocal chords exploded with laughter yet? XD
Second Choice(s): Kevin Michael Richardson (any number of deep voiced characters) for the comical deep-voiced midget effect, but also because he's got a good experience base. Steven Blum (Wolverine or Orochimaru) for being a badass. Or, if we go with high voices, I'll go with Danny Devito (Mini-Me from Austin Powers, I believe).

    Any noble commander
First Choice(s): Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime and Eeyore) and Gary Oldman (Sirius Black, Jim Gordon, etc.). 'nuff said.
Second Choice(s): Well, anybody with good guy experience as well as some conflicting personalities. Perhaps Dante Basco (Zuko from Avatar)

    Any villainous commander
First choice(s): Frank Welker (MEGATRON), preferably alongside his old nemesis. David Kaye, for his role as the Megatron from Beast Wars. Yeeeessssssss
Second choice(s): Mark Hamill, who has surprising experience as a villain. Could double as a crazed character. Charlie Adler and Corey Burton get mentioned too for vast experience and range.

Tol Skorr to serve as a recurring foe
First choice: Plenty of tough guy actors to choose from, really. Jess Harnell (Ironhide and Barricade from Transformers) could accomplish this. Or anyone with substantial tough guy experience.
Second choice: Daran Norris, for his role as Jorgen Von Strangle in The Fairly Odd Parents. XD

We also need someone to be voiced by Grey DeLisle. MUST I tell you.

I don't have characters in mind but Scott McNeil needs to be on this show as a Jedi. Coolest voice ever

I'm shocked Mark Hammil hasn't been in it already. I mean, the guy does great and much voice work, loves to talk about Star Wars, and would probably jump at the work.

I'd love to hear Malcolm McDowell voice a bad guy on the show.

That's all I got to add.

    My 3 Cents:

Scott McNeil is one of the most diverse and versatile voices out there.

Mark Hamill on the show would make my life.

We need some Governor Tarkin, or whatever less-than-Grand title he would have. Wayne Pilgrim would be a bonus!

didn't he say a few years ago that he was done with star wars? i thought he did but i could be wrong. obviously i hope that mark will appear. he's a good enough voice actor that he could do some random character and not sound like luke. they should ask carrie fischer too. she seems like she's still into star wars. billy dee williams would be cool too.

I'd also like a team-up of Paul Eiding (Colonel Campbell) for Tholme, and David Hayter (Solid Snake) for Quinlan Vos. I mean, c'mon. Just look at it. XD

Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) might also make a good A'Sharad Hett, if you ask me.

I agree that it would be great for Mark Hamill to make an appearance. I'd also add Stan Freberg, if for no other reason than as a thanks for suggesting Anthony Daniels as Threepio's voice.

I, for one, would like to hear Ahmed Best do some voice work for the show.

Seriously... what happened? Someone somewhere has to know.

Yeah, but why not since then? He needs to come home. He did Jar Jar on Colbert, Robot Chicken, and even in "Gungan General"... oh, well. Bad joke on my part, I suppose... sorry!

I would love it if Mark, carrie, & Harrison(not likely) did some voicework.

Would also like it if Hayden did Anakin. not that I don't like the guy doing the voicework now.

I wonder, were any of the original actors asked or expressed interest in doing voices of their characters?

Also would like it is Samuel jackson came for Mace's voice.

Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn in a possible flashback episode.

Is it at all possible to see Qui-Gon even communicate with Yoda as a force ghost during the clone wars events, since by Episode III Yoda teaches Obi-Wan how to do it.

I think I read on IMDB (or maybe somewhere else :/ ) that Hayden actually did express interest in doing the voice, but they didn't ask him to come back...

I want Mark Hammil as either a Jedi Master or a CIS leader. He needs to be on this show for now on (a lot of episodes).

It seems like Hammill, Carrie Fisher and Billy Dee (at least) would be game, based on them all having done some (relatively) small-time SW parody things. It would be totally hilarious if they all appeared in the same episode as completely different characters from their OT roles-- or like "bizarro" Separatist equivalents or something.

I think Hamill would make for a great cameo as an evil CIS general (have we seen General Loathsome yet?) I'm thinking of that hilarious bit in the Genndy miniseries where this general is acting all macho and then freaks out when the Republic sends only one or two jedi at him.

I actually forgot that Corey Burton is already Dooku when I was making this thread and mentioned him. D'oh!

Also if we DID get Scott McNeil, I suggest he portray a Verpine (Waspinator), a Trandoshan (Dinobot), and a Chadra Fan (Rattrap), all in the same episode.

And perhaps Yuri Lowenthal as some of the younger characters. They can go emo or not. XD

As I was reading the "Wild Space" novel last night, Obi-Wan met up with Dex again, and he smoked cheroots, haha. But, then it dawned upon me that I want to see Dexter Jettster again. And maybe the man who played him in Episode II could return and play him briefly.
