childhood punishment memories

no, this is not a support group. i want to laugh at the odd, off-the-wall, strange, or scary memories you have to help me forget my own!



during naptime at my earliest daycare, if you spoke or misbehaved, they made you stand at the front with your arms & legs out, holding pails that they would fill with water. i guess the idea was to tire us out so we'd sleep, but i think it's just down right odd that they did it at all.

 

In fourth grade, Ms. Duncan had the class in desk groups of six and because I was such a huge disruption to my group, she put me in a lone desk right in front of hers at the very front of the class.

 

I had to do skier sits, usually with a dictionary in each hand.


EDIT: In school, when I misbehaved my 5th grade teacher would make me march up and down the hall, military style. And I went to public school.

 

I had to do that with a rifle in basic training. That got old real fast.

I can't think about oo many punishments I had as a child. Thankfully, I've blocked most of it out as part of a mental defense mechanism.

 

i can't believe they could do this. what a weird thing to do to children.

 

It's ironic. One kid in my class got in trouble and had to sit by himself in the classroom cause he tried kissing two girls in second grade.























He is openly gay now. No joke.

 

Where do I begin?

I was lucky to be a girl. They would hit girls on the palms with wooden rulers.

The first time, I instinctively withdrew my hand from punishment. This was a big mistake. The number of whacks doubled from 10 to 20.

Then, you learn to stretch your hand and bite down on your cheeks.

You should never look them in the eye. This enfuriates them, and makes them hit harder.
Of course, I always looked them in the eye.

If you start crying, they will hit softly.
Of course, I never cried.

When they tell you that it's for your own good, always say, "Yes, Madam", or, "Yes, Sir"
Of course, I would just stare at them.

When they call your name out in school assembly and tell you get up front and face the whole school, one should walk with shame, with your head down, and stand in front of everybody in shame.
Of course, I walked proudly and arrogantly and stared at the blank faces that looked at me.

When they tell you not to do that again, you should never do that again.
Of course, I did worse things after each punishment.

And then, I played with my friends.

Some of the boys ended up in hospital.

Yes. I have problems with authority.

 

One of the Year 3 teachers back in Primary School used to threaten to give us students spankings if we be naughtey. Back then I was scarred ****less, but looking back on it he can spank me anyday. He was pretty hot.

 

I got paddled when I was in high school. I just kept saying "Thank you sir, may I have another?" and "So, does it turn you on to spank teenage boys?" and "I guess this is what it's like to be in your shoes on a Friday night down by the piers."

Good times.

 

Once my mom said she was going to spank me so I went and put a whole whole bunch of powder in the back of my pants so when she did it my butt exploded in a poof of white.

And I think I tried to fart too.

 

My dad used to pretend he was dead whenever my mom was out for the night. He did a pretty damn good job of it too. I could jump on him and everything. It's pretty ingenius now that I think about it. He didn't have to do anything at all...

I went to a Catholic school and in the second grade I had a nun by the name of St. Josephine. I was a big 'troublemaker' I guess so she would rap my knuckles with her nice ruler nearly everyday. I really hate that woman.

 

The dripping acid on the skin was painful, but if you didn't scream too loudly it would all be over quick.

 

the only punishment i ever got was when my 5th grade teacher held me back. talk about not doing your homework. thankfully, she has gone bye-bye now.

 

Not much, I'm not particullary good but from a young age I knew how too skirt trouble by not getting caught and/or severe sucking up/manipulation.

Karma is a wonderful thing, isn't it?

 

The weirdest punishment I ever got was having to handwrite sections of the Bible for getting caught making out with some girl on the church bus.

 

Yip.

Only problem is, it works both ways.

 

You should have written out that one verse about greeting your neighbor with a kiss.

 

I hated writing what I did wrong, why I did it, and how I would do better 10 times... one time I told the teacher I didn't do anything wrong and refused too write something I didn't believe.

Dude he got mad. But I never wrote it.
