CIII Jabba the hutts dance troupe...

Ok, I was partially inspired by what queenseamstress said and by the NJO sugestion to do a simmilar thing. I was wondering if enough people wanted to put together a Dance Troupe for CIII? We will need Twi'Lecks, and other characters that dance to do it. I am working on a fat suit that will be done by CIII so I can go as the fat dancer I think it will be fun. But I think it would be awsome for us to do something with this, (not to mention it is good motivation for making a specific costume.) What do you all think?

 

Oooo, that'd be fun... I'll have to think about this, 'cause the only dancing I do is ballroom, salsa, and swing.

I keep wanting to do a Twi'lek so if I don't do Aayla, then I may do Oola instead. Had tossed the idea for CII but never had time to do it.

 

There's also Lyn Me, the blue-gray backup singer in the Special Edition.

The more I think about this, the more I'm tempted by something Rystall-like. Must be the pink hair.

 

Heh I'm going as Boba Fett, so I could be your body guard. LOL I could also flirt with Rystall like he does in ROTJ:SE. LOL

 

I think it would be neat to clear a space somewhere and put on a show or something. That would be awsome!\

Maybe we can find a band to do the music for us!

And there's three years we can maybe get something choreographed that we can all do!

I can belly dance, salsa (sorta) and swing (sorta).

And I thought about doing Rystall for a while... but then the fat dancer just called out to me... the challenge of making a costume of that magnitude it very appealing to me. And if I can't pull that off I am planning on the Twi'leck. Maybe one of the blue ones from TPM (I don't think that they will ALL have to be from RoTJ)

It's great to see so many interested in this (SB I'll talk to you more about this on Sunday ) I really want to make this happen. Maybe we could meet a couple months before CIII for a rehearsal of somesorts. That would be something. But for now, let's get those costumes done!

I've been thinking about this ever since the meeting, JGoC! Maybe I could make a slave Leia costume, and go as her. And having the 12 or so years of dance experience, I could definitely help with the choreography.

I'm very tempted by Rystall. That would be so much fun. Oh and Jedi Girl of Corellia, the name of the fat dancer is Yarna d'al'Gargan.

Good idea, since we're both already eyeing Rystall. *laugh* But I'm rather flexible as long as I'm a bit more covered up than Oola.

 

I'm with you on the covering up bit. I would be anything as long as I don't have to show pretty much everything.

I'm glad there is so much interest in this! And it would be really cool to see some people in custom versions of dancers! That will take care of having 'clones' of the dancers.

And about being covered up, I was watching RoTJ again, and those Twi'lecks look as if they're going to fall out of the 'strips' of fabric around them!

 

Most of them look rather flatchested to me. That definitely isn't me. I had another thought. I think I might be Arica-the disguise that Mara Jade uses in Jabba's Palace. What do you guys think?

 

If you want a Slave Leia as part of this group, then I have that one covered.

Not sure how much dancing I can do in it, however, I'd be happy to lay around looking disgusted by Jabba.

Oh...sounds like fun!! Amidala-Leia, if you don't want to go as Arica, I can. I already finished most of the costume (see previous Arica costume post that would probably be on page 20 by now ).
