Clone Wars- series of books?

Since there is alot missing in the 2 year clone wars, you guys think del rey will make a series of books about the clone wars. Sorry if this has been mentioned before.

 

Probably. But not until Episode III.

 

That would be cool, if so will ankian be a jedi Knight and well Obi-own be a general like they said in OT

 

Probably but I think Obi-wan will be a general at the begining of episode 3 too.

 

Why don't you wait till the movies come out and see.

 

I hope so. Maybe after the Episode III script is written (summer 2003) they'll start work on a series of books detailing this two year period in real time. It would be pretty sweet.

 

if it makes money(and you know it will) they will.

Zahn will be writing a prequal book, about the clone wars possibly.

 

Zahn might be doing a prequel novel. Lets not go around saying it like its a fact just yet.

And I thought it was going to take place between TPM and AotC.

Do we know when Stover's is supposed to take place?

Stover's book takes place after AOTC. So it will likely be the first book in a Clone Wars series.

 

ron, where'd you hear that it takes place right after AotC?

 

I'd like to see a rouge squadren type series of books to also tell of the space battles of the clone wars if they do make a clone wars series.

 

I'd like a Wraith Squad type, but same general idea.

 

I'd much rather see any such books focused on Anakin/Vader, Palpatine, Sidious, Kenobi and other known characters, and watch their development and achievements.

I concur with IATDS. I want a series to focus on the main characters of the era, just as in the NJO.

 

Oh god yes- a clone wars series of the x-wing ilk.

But I was just thinking, it would have to be rather jedi-centric or non-clone centric. Considering having interaction between clones would get rather tedious, i imagine.

 

it would only make sense that it is because not having what happens leaves a big gap and somewhat defeats the purpose of EU (aside from entertaining us it also educates us somewhat) i would love it if they were somehow a miniseries or a tv show (if that does happen i would hope its high quality)
