Cocky 80's bands like Guns N Roses, Twisted Sister, The Scorpions etc.

Ahh, don't you just love cocky, 80's hard rock? I do! And for that my favorite bands in this genre are definately Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister and The Scorpions. YES! How about you, butthead?

I'm surprised there never was a band called "Arrogance". Imagine the sweetness that would go along with a band like that...

I always associated that term with bands like "Enuff'z'Nuff", "Trixter" and "Firehouse" More hair products than musical talent. There were a few of those bands who rocked. I especially loved Ratt

How many here do you think knows the 80's Bon Jovi? Now they have A LOT shorter hair.

Sometime last year on VH1 they had a show that had the top hair bands of the 80's, but I don't remember who won. It was pretty interesting though.

No they're not. Metallica, Pantera and Megadeth all had big hair and they're not hair bands. Hair bands are bands like Poison, Ratt, Cinderella, Warrant...etc. It's a sound, not a look. And GNR wasn't a hair band.

Helloween

Most of them are still active now, but not as fresh anymore.

 

Yeah, that's why I didn't say hair band, GnR definately isn't one. And I'm not sure about The Scorpions, but I doubt they would be considered one.

I love those 80's bands. Around here, the 80's sound is getting big play, and now it's the "IN" thing to, but I've been listening to that music since I could remember.

Now I have all the Greatest Hits of Def Leppard, Scorpian, Poison etc.

I just heard last night that the Scorpians and Whitesnake are going on tour together!

 

I was barley around in the 80's but I love this stuff. I blame it on my dad Van Halen it the top for me, I also like Def Leppard & Guns N Roses.

 

So have any of you heard sammy's new song, things've changed?

"November Rain" by Guns N Roses is my fave song of all time. Strangely I'm not really a fan of Guns N Roses, I just really love that one song.
