Okay, I'm trying to watch this video I downloaded, and it needs X-Vid to play it. So I downloaded X-Vid and I got picture but no sound. What do I have to download to get sound for it?

Check you have the most updated version of the codec - or it might be that you need a seperate codec for the audio.

    All the best,

No, it's not the ring sadly. But I think I should also apologize for being so misleading. I actually downloaded a DVD-Rip of a movie and it was DivX encoded. Now it works really great for my computer, so then I burned it on a disc and gave it to my friend, so he played it on his DivX player but there was no sound. That is the real story behind it, sorry if I was misleading most of you but I figured it might be an X-Vid thing or something and I remember when I first downloaded a DVD-Rip that was an X-Vid I needed to also download a certain audio thing for sound.

You do realize that bootleging is ILLEGAL and is not tolerated here, right? Check the TOS. This thread should be locked.

You would have installed the Nimo Codec pack right?
Some DVD Rips (Especially XVID) have AC3 audio encoding, and can only be played with the AC3 codec. This is included in the Nimo pack, has he got that installed?

You can just run a search for it, or you could download it at VCD Help.
