The Mandalorian culture article says some colors have meaning and that Mandalorians often change their armor color if theyre on a vendetta or somethinc along the lines of that. Sand Gold apparently means vengeance, does anyone know any of the other colors?

"Sand-gold represents a quest for vengeance; black, for justice"
    -from the article.

I don't think any of the other colors have been named, although the Mandalore wore red markings in Open Seasons.

Odd that they'd mention those random colors and not, say, mention the colors we've actually seen on Mandos in the films.

I don't think it's "odd" that Karen would mention those colors (and I know the "sand-gold" isn't random) since she had direct say in what they symbolize. After all, she wrote the piece and is far-and-away the Mando expert. One thing I know of her; she don't do nothin' haphazardly. I find it refreshing that Ms. Traviss didn't attempt to establish why Jango wore the shiny silver and blue or why Boba wore the classic green, red, and weathered beskar'gam simply to set the precedent on what the colors mean. It allows those guys, perhaps the most complicated Mando'ad out there, to retain some sense of intrique, uniqueness, and depth. Heck, if we knew what Jango's or Boba's armor colors meant, then we would be sitting around arguing how Karen got it all wrong or right or almost-but-not-quite-good-enough-for-super-fan-Mando-freaks like... well, you get the point. Some things are best left unexplained.

Of course she's the "Mando expert." It's not exactly hard to be an expert on something you made up almost entirely yourself.

It's not surprising that she only gave the meanings of "sand gold" and black-- those are the colors her pet character, Skirata, wears.

I seem to recall from KOTOR I/II that the colours did signify rank. Blue I recall was the colour for the grunts. Yellow and Red are higher ranks.

In the same way that lightsaber color denoted class and occupation?

I think they changed over the millenia, but yeah.

She mentions blue and green as being quite popular, due to personal preference.

He wears brown armor. See the picture in her blog.

Described several times as "sand gold" in TZ. Vau wears the matte-black armour.

Hmm, it turns out I'm wrong. It is mentioned as being sand-gold a couple times.
