Gd Rapids, MI ~~~Come up with a Name and/or Slogan!~~~

Help! We're nameless/sloganless!! I've seen several good ones floating around and would like to hear those and more. So go ahead and post whatever ideas/thoughts/ramblings (on topic, please) that you may have. Everyone feel free to participate!

 

How about Grand Admiral Rapids! Where we are now the ultimate power in the universe.

 

I still like Hoth Beach. I can't remember who though of it but I like it.

 

There's always "Grand Force"

 

J.Sat actually came up with the Grand Admiral Rapids name in the Welcome thread, page 1. Great minds think alike. I also subsequently suggested the similar Grand Moff Rapids.

GIMER was the one who came up with Hoth Beach.

Finally, I?m sticking with my slogan suggestion of: "Where We Make the Kellogg Run in Less Than 12 Tablespoons".

I like Grand Admiral Rapids. I think Hoth Beach might be a bit too obscure. As for a slogan, why not just "THEEEEY'RE GREEEEAT!!!"

 

Fine. But if you screen-print up some FF T-shirts and use the Kellogg run slogan, I get credit.

Well my name from the welcome thread was "GR Jedi" (a take of on "GI Joe").

I kind of like Grand Admiral Rapids though.
I guess it depends on whether we want to be Jedi or Impirial troops.

Being from Battle Creek the Kellogg slogan sounds good, but for a name I have to say that "Grand Admiral Rapids" has my vote.

That's all I could think of right now.. I like the Grand Admiral Rapids one sort of though.

 

I kinda like the Jedi of the Hand- you can tell someone is from Michigan the moment they tell you where they live by pointing at their hand!

Grand Admiral Rapids is another good one.

Maybe you could do what JKoC did when they were voting on names- choose one Republic, one Imperial, and one neutral name, and then vote on them.

 

umm - simplification might serve us well -
i like the GRAND FORCE - not sure about admiral inclusion - doesn't resonate star wars to me (ackbar?) ideally the goal would be to have some sort of symbiotic combo of our city/region/state with things star wars. and (grr)tony the tiger is too geographically specific. we are the west side we are grand but we're also holland/kzoo and perhaps muskegon? so think we could come up with a name that every 'west coast' city can embrace but would be recognizable to everyone else? and after reading previous posts i kinda like GR JEDI also
