Edmonton Comic and Toy Show March 30th

Passing this info along from the promoter, check it out.

Edmonton has been without a toy/comic show for almost a year now so i took it upon myself to organize just such an event. The show will take place on Sunday, March 30th from 11am-5pm at Dalton's Conference Center at the Greenwood Inn on Calgary Trail North.

If any of you are interested in securing a table or if you know someone who might be, please contact me by email at thalljoben@shaw.ca, thalljoben@hotmail.com or by phone at 433-3204. There are 50, 8ft tables available and a floor plan will follow shortly. Tables will be $50 for the first and $30 for the second. Please indicate how many tables you're interested in should you reply.


If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! With luck and everyone's help, this show can become an annual event!

Is this going to be Star Wars, or everything? I am looking forward to it, might be able to snag some stuff...

I think it would be in the best intrests of Edmontooine to get a table there even if we don't sell stuff, just to hand out flyers and meet n' greet people. Maybe even costumed would be fun!

Is anyone willing to chip in for the cost of a table and maybe some flyers? And who would be willing to suit up and spend the day there with me? We should move on this fast, to ensure that we get a table.

Great idea! I'm not for sure that I can spend the whole day yet, but most likely I will be able to.

As for chipping in for a table, I'm sure I can make a contribution. $50 is quite a bit though...hopefully we can get a lot of us to chip in.

Well it would be nice to see everyone there. I plan to be there all day so come on out. Looks like alot of members from different sites will be there so it will be interesting meeting everyone.

 

I'm in for the table and flyers, I don't know how much time I can spend actually there yet, but I will be there for some at least.
Starbender, you are a good, good man for being willing to part with Yoda, even temporarly do you think they would let us hang it from the rafters?

 

I should be able to make it for the afternoon in costume. This is definately a good way to get some PR.
