Ok I brought this up a few months back and never really got a clear answer, mostly people just joking around. I know several of us are comic book geeks or are intrigued by comic books. Now is there interest still in making a special interest group for comic books. This will allow some of the more seasoned geeks in the feild to discuss all sorts of things about them, and the newer people or less knowledgabel people to learn a lot more about it. I was also thinking that monthly comic runs would allow collectors chances to continue collecting and those who are intrigued to start to dabble.

Again I want to know if there is interest. If yo uare not interested or do not have anything to add please do not spam this. I am serious about this.

Lol the proximity of the members thus far will make this difficult. But I will find a way.

Personally, and predictably I am heavy into spidey and as Matt calls them, the street walkers. But if it has great a great story I am all up for it. Personally I am willing to explore just about any character. So I am open to suggestion. Though my area of expertise is marvel, particularly Spiderman and a little X-men.

    I'm really curious about something.

Late last night while trying to fall asleep I was flipping channels and saw what appeared to be an old cartoon of Batman and Robin. As I kept watching it, Superman came in. Then the Wondertwins. Then Wonderwoman and finally Aquaman. Batman and Robin had to save them all and the villian was "the Capricorn Kid" who used robot cowboys as his henchmen.

Does anyone have any idea what I was watching, 'cause I sure don't.

It was a corny 80's TV series called Super Friends. It is roughly based oof of the widely pupolar Comci Line JLA: The Justice League of America, a DC comic the combines most of its most popular characters into one super team. They used a campier format adopted by the 60s batman series and it comes off ans a bad episode of Scooby Doo sometimes.

Yeah, that dsounds like SuperFriends.. only correction is that was pure, unalduterated 70's.

See what I had to put up with when I was a kid?
