Hey all oh-so-helpful Chicago-land SW fanatics, I need to ask you all a question again. :D

Do any of you know of any type of comic bookish stores in the Chicago area that has some cool SW stuff there regularly? I'm from Rolling Meadows (NW burbs) if that helps.

I'd just be interested in shooting up to a cool store like that every once in a while.

    Any ideas? :)

My two favorite comic book shops in the city are Graham Crackers Comics at 69 E. Madison St. and Chicago Comics at 3244 N. Clark Street. Graham Crackers has a pretty decent selection. Chicago Comics gets Star Wars comics in, but they mainly specialize in independent and alternative publishers.

There's two things I'm looking for right now. If anyone out there can help me, I'd really appreciate it. I'm looking for the Jango Fett graphic novel or a comic shop that has Dark Horse Extra. Dark Horse Extra has a Star Wars storyline running through issues 44-47. I found a copy of 44, but the shop I got it from said they ordered it by accident and wouldn't be getting future issues. Can anyone help me out on these two things?

    Keith's Komix 528 South Roselle Road in Schaumburg = 847 534 9436

Keith is a really good guy that I've known for many years. Way back when he used to work for Moondog's. Remember them? So, anyway He's cool and has a store that's heaping full of almost every comic related and or RPG card player's dream. I haven't been to the store in a while and if you're out there Keith, I apologize. But I do have several friends who see him regularly, so I know he's still in business.

...and here is a link to some others... But I've never been to them... Call first to be sure if they're still around...

Graham Crackers is a chain of comic stores. I regularly hit the one in Wheaton on Butterfield Rd. My best friend and I do a "Grand Graham Crackers Tour" once about every six months, hitting about four of their stores. This usually conicides with their Winter and Summer sale. The Naperville store has a ton of toys. I picked up a ton of SW toys last time, at 30% off.

    Happy comic hunting.

Actually---there is Dreamland comics at Schaumburg Road and Spriginsguth (SP???). They have some of the toys----and a good selection of mainstream comics such as Star Wars.

Well, Graham Crackers Downtown managed to get me a copy of both the Jango Fett and Zam Wesell graphic novels. I noticed that there weren't any copies of either book on the shelves, though.

And I managed to find a comic shop that has Dark Horse Extra: North Loop Comics at 226 S. Wabash, Suite 602. It's pretty much a hole in the wall as far as comic book shop goes, but they do have DHE.

If you're looking for SW collectibles (figures and such), try Alien Entertainment in the North Park Mall at 270 W. North Ave. in Villa Park (630)834-3410.

Travel south on IL-53/I-355 and exit west on North Avenue.

There are some comics as well as a lot of Doctor Who merchandise.

It's a cool store well worth the trip.

I haven't been to Alien Entertainment's store, but I have seen their booth at Wizard World. They're also involved with Chicago TARDIS, aren't they? I hope to make it to that convention this year.

Graham Crackers Comics - I used to work there. It's a quality place, 9 locations around the Chicago land location. The Downers Grove, Naperville and Loop locations are the best, in my opinion, but I haven't been to Wheaton or Lincoln Park in a while.

I suppose I should mention that North Loop Comics has dropped carrying Dark Horse Extra. I think the owner got annoyed with me asking for it, so he stopped carrying it.
