Does anyone know how much information about it has been released? From what I could gather is that they were either a seperate order that worked with the Jedi Order on Coursaunt(sp?) with their own laws, rules, codes, etc. If not that they they were just a bunch of rogues that refused to follow the new codes set forth by the Jedi Order and decided to following the older codes and traditions. The only time I remember reading about them was during I, Jedi when Corran Horn was talking or being told about his past. Is there any more information on them? Trying to write my fan fic and information this would help a lot. That and I'm just curious. Thanks.
Well, the only info that I can recall is from Corran Horn's bio in the New Essential Guide To Characters, which says that Corellian Jedi usually broke Jedi tradition and had relationships and families against the Council's wishes. Here's the direct quote from that. "All Jedi hailing from the Corellian Sector earned a reputation for intransigence, maintaining their own local traditions and often defying the Jedi Council's edict that discouraged marriage and familial bonds." I don't think that they were considered rogues, because several sources (like Heir To The Empire and I, Jedi) mention Corellian Jedi as being playing major roles in the Clone Wars. It's not just Corellian Jedi, either. Callista's updated bio in the NEGTC states that Jedi Master Djinn Altis also operated without Council approval, going against the traditions of the Master/Padawan pairing and the fact that Jedi should be trained from infancy. I'm not sure how much of this would be helpful, but that's about all I can tell you.
In fact it wasn't only the Council and jedi edicts they defied. The Corellian jedi even defied their planet's own neutrality in the Clone Wars to fight for the republic. (see holonet news). The Council wasn't as dictatorial on the matter of marriage as some people seem to think. In fact, no knight or master was expelled for getting married, but usually, unlike Anakin, they at least had the courtesy to ask first.
And of course, the Corellian Jedi accessorized their robes and their wardrobe ensembles quite splendidly with all those faboo, darling little medallion-things....
