Heya community! I am currently attempting to model Count Dooku's lightsaber in 3D. I am still fleshing out the basic shapes, but I happened upon something curious on the design. (see image link) The metal sticking out from the end on the blueprint of his saberhilt is getting in the way of the plasmablade. (grey transparent cylinder represents the plasmablade) My question is, should I make a minor change in the design so I can add a plasmablade on the saber, or stick to the blue print design? I take pride in creating things that resembles to as close to the original. But I cringe inside when it is not practical either. Alternatively, is the plasmablade too thick? I have a hard time to determine how thick they are, as they vary from movies, to series.
