hello everyone, i am Count_Doodie, Findecano in real life but on here you can all call me Doodie! i'm a photoshop person. been tinkering around with the program for about a year now. here are a few starwars related things that i've done

Wow, the wallpaper looks great! I can fully understand why you've won! I esp like about it how it gets darker to the ground.
I think sometimes the heads look a bit sharp on the edges, it might help if you go over them with the blur tool in Photoshop. (just decrese the hardness before you do it)
But otherwise it looks phantastic!

I love the DvD cover! Wish they had used that one for the Saga collection.
Like the images you've picked for it. Looks really beautiful.

Looking forwards to seeing more of your work.

Hello Count_Doodie, and welcome to the forum! The wallpaper is wonderful--a beautiful compilation of all our favorite Jedi! And the DVD cover is also very nice--you have a great sense of composition, I think, and the eye flows well through the piece (and I agree, too, that you have a nice choice of images for it!). Wonderful work, and again, welcome!

hello all! just thought i'd share something that ive been playing around with.

now before i start i'd just like to say that i LOVE the AotC poster. it's my favourite Struzan poster. so i wasnt trying to improve it or anything like that.

it's just, i was on his site and i came across this

thanks! in the first mockup i did, i used the original colours from the oficial poster. but the oranges clashed horribly with the blue force lightning so i decided to go more blue/purple.

Oh, that's a beautiful poster, Count_Doodie! I agree with AG88 that the colors are wonderful--very rich and vibrant, and I think you're totally correct about the blues and purples (two of my own fav colors, anyway! ). Lovely!

the wallpaper competition is back!! woohoo! the theme this week is tatooine. i wasnt gonna enter becuase the whole tatooine theme didnt really inspire me. all i could think of was sand sand and more sand! but then i remembered my favourite shot of the entire sage was on tatooine. luke looking out towards the sunsets. so i decided to make a wallpaper from a still taken from that scene.my original idea was just to use this picture and give it a nice border and slap the "planet farthest from" quote on it. but then i realised just how dull that idea was! instead i decided to show the scene from a different angle. that was easier said than done but i managed to make something in the end.

p.s. from now on ive decided that when i post my photomanips i'll also post the raw componants that i used. to give pple an idea of what i started out with.

p.p.s oh and i realise that Luke is no longer looking at the sunsets....my bad i guess!

 

I love the feel of this w/p, C_D--I think the only thing that could be better is the handling of the light/shadow elements: the building and the figure here should be in deep shadow with the suns setting where they are. I really like the composition--the eye moves very easily through the piece. Just watch for consistency in lighting, and you'll be golden!
