I've mentioned this in the JCC, but thought some of you that don't venture that far might like to know.

Eric Clapton's 'Crossroads' guitar festival is on right now in Chicago.

    Thought some of might appreciate the webcast URL;

    http://music.msn.com/crossroads

I can't get the stream to load in FireFox, but it's fine in IE (it may be my flash player version installed on FireFox)

Robert Randolph is playing right now - funky slide guitar!

Eric Clapton's Crossroads Festival takes place this Saturday (28 July) at Toyota Park, in Bridgeville, Illinois. Beginning at 1:30PM EST (10:30AM PST), MSN Music will host a webcast of the event. MSN Music is currently featuring a Q&A with Eric, a festival lineup and videos from the first festival in 2004.

    More info & links here.

    Performer list (alphabetical order):

    Jeff Beck
    Doyle Bramhall II
    Eric Clapton
    Sheryl Crow
    Robert Cray
    Vince Gill
    Buddy Guy
    BB King
Alison Krauss and Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas
    Sonny Landreth
    Albert Lee
    Los Lobos
    John Mayer
    John McLaughlin
    Willie Nelson
Robert Randolph and the Family Band
    Robbie Robertson
    Hubert Sumlin
    The Derek Trucks Band
    Jimmie Vaughan
    Johnny Winter
    Steve Winwood

Clapton & Winwood have been practising some old Blind Faith tracks recently, so they're definitely playing together. Rumours there may also be an unbilled Cream appearance (which could mean Baker's also present for a Blind Faith jam).

Hope Clapton & Beck do 'cause we've ended as lovers' again. Can't get anough of that Stevie Wonder cover.
