Dancing Hologram during R2/Obi-Wan scene - Anyone have this old QT video?

A few years ago I came across a short video where they replaced the hologram of Leia in the Ben's Hut scene in Episode IV with a funny dancer.

As far as I remember the edit was exactly like original except the last Obi-Wan reaction shot was reversed. The hologram started up, said 'Hey, look what I can do!' and then starts dancing to some music. I can't remember the exact title, but it was something like 'Mr. (something, I've got 'Bucket' in the back of my head) got r00t in R2'.

I actually had this burnt onto an old fanfilm collection CD (a series of about seven discs, contents all zipped), but recently I went to have a look and found two of the discs were scratched ever so slightly and this file had to be on one of these two. I then took a search on Google for it, but it seems that old site may have vanished or it simply has dropped off Google (and I'm usually pretty good at the ol' Google, I have several friends that come to me after searching for something for a few hours, they end up both pleased and disgusted when my first Google result is usually what they were looking for!).

Of course a slight scratch wouldn't stop me, so I put it in the car so that next time I visited the video store I could take it in and see if they could fix it it their disc cleanup machine. So what happens while I'm out the next day? My car gets broken into for the first time ever! What do they steal? The iPod accessories or the box of DVDs and books? No! They take a little small change, one DVD and two scratched CD-Rs!

Anyway, does anyone have this file or do they know where the elusive website is (the video actually had the site address at the end, so if you have the file then you have both)? I've actually recreated (or should that be 'ripped off'!) the concept for an event advert, but I'd love to have the original to show friends as it was very funny (the Luke and Ben reaction shots are simply classic!).

 

All this for a re-edit with a pole dancer instead of Leia?

Hehe, this version just had a fully-clothed guy dancing like a dork.

I wouldn't be suprised if several similar parodies exist, maybe the guy I ripped off simply ripped off someone else!

There were several different versions.. I've seen the pole dancer version, but I remember another one that was even more risqué. Don't think I've ever seen the "guy dancing like a dork" version.

While we're on the subject of funky SW retools, does anyone have the video of the Vader/Obi-Wan duel from ANH that was sped up and put to Benny Hill music? At least I think it was Benny Hill music.. something corny.

Mark that up as four similar edits then as the one I'm after predates SW Kid's 'popularity'. This one featured an older guy, between about 17 and 24.

It's funny because they really drag out the edit of the shots of obi and luke looking at eachother so it really becomes a big WTF-was-that thing.

The guy is ugly and dances like crap too.

But WHERE on my gigs upon gigs upon gigs do I have it? No clue.

Woo! Zap to the rescue! If you do feel like looking through all your files then I don't mind waiting, I really just wanted to make sure it was possible that I could recover it eventually. If all those files are on your computator then searching for 'r00t' may speed up the process as I'm fairly sure it was in the file name (and it was either a QT MOV or MPEG as it definitely ran in QuickTime).

Actually, the real funny thing is that the editors didn't really have to drag out the edit much at all (except for that two second reversed shot of Obi-Wan), it was basically the exact film cut! The change of context just worked so great though, their careful pondering turns into genuine WEIRD'D OUT!!

 

The version I remember had the guy from MAD TV who does the little boy routine, "Look what I can do!" and "Stay out of my danger zone!"

 

I know that Primrodo has a still image of the pole dancer one on his petridish album...

Please host it somewhere! I've been tryin to find this old video for a long time too, cuz it IS freakin hilarious... Obi/Luke's looks at the end are just priceless...

While we're on the topic, how would someone go about modifying one of the movie scenes like that? Take a background plate from before the hologram shows up maybe, to cover the original? Then create your own over that mask?

 

I'm referring to the obi-wan/vader duel to Benny Hill.
