I think he belongs to the Eu community, because the Highlights of his life were before Episode I and between episode I and II.

Second : I like him! He's the most evil guy in the universe!

 

Pfft! Shimmra is at least as evil, if not more.

 

Nah, Shmmra is just a puppet, and mis guided. Palpy/Sidious is much more evil. IMHO

I have an inside joke with friends and such that goes back for years and has to do with Sidious or Palpy.

In Watching ROTJ for the zillionth time in eighth grade my friends and I began pulling mystery science theater 3000's on the flick and noticing wierd stuff and making random comments about it. Well I noticed Palpy's rotten teeth and started talking in an inane voice saying, "I like candy, how bout you?" everytime there was a close-up of Palpy and his teeth.

Soon the whole flick was about the quest to save the galaxy's supply of candy bars. For example, in the scene where the heroes are initiated into the Ewok tribe, I'd translate the Ewok speak into, "Anything! We'll give you anything if you protect our Kit Kats". When Vader throws him into the core of the DS at the end, I added to Palpy's screams, "I...WANT...MY...SNICKERS BAR!!!!" And so on, with the stupid jokes. We were eighth graders...

There are other jokes too, like when Palpy's about to lightening bolt Luke, we turn his speech into this: "You will pay for your lack of vision, your bad fashion sense (cuz Luke is not the galaxy's most styling dresser) and the fact that they have not yet invented an Alpha-Hydroxy Lotion to get rid of these under eye wrinkles!!!!"

And that's about it....like I said we were in eighth grade....

I think he's the most evil one to. Even Master Yoda didn't sensde him. Although......
Maybe he will in EIII, becouse he know's there's evile in the Senate ( he heard from Obi wan, whow heard it from Dooku)
But there's another question. Why didn't he show himself to the univers before Darth Vater. Not because Darth Bane told the Sith, he only said: they could show thereself when they were very strong. Sidious alone was very strong. Or NOT strong enough? You said he was!

 

I wanna know what Sidious has cooking with that Sifo-Dyas guy.


But I will admit, he is one bad Darth.

I think Syfo Dyas has nothing to do with this. Dooku ordered the army on Syfo dyas' his name. Just to get an enemie against the droids. So chancelor palpatine would have the power to rule alone. And so he could crown him self as an emperor, in EPS 3 of cource.
Because syfo Dyas died ten years earlier, and Syfo Dyas doesn't have something in common or something to do with this clone war.

 

"Syfo Dyas" is a useful name for HIMs Palpatine to have used, as it would amuse his narccistic glee to know that the Clone Army was ordered under a word play on his Sith name; "Sidious". Syfo Dyas; Sidious.

As my persona and icon will betray, I adore HIM Cos Palpatine. He is the epitome toward which every man must try and emulate: his holy counternance is both sad and humble at the same time: wise beyond eternity yet pained by the burden of a galaxy he must shoulder.

A burden he must take, to save a corrupt galaxy from itself.

He is to the Star Wars Galaxy, a veritable messiah. His life will forever be a tribute to the highest pinnacle mankind can achieve; and his New Order will forever stand alone as the perfect governing construct ever created.

Glory the New Order, may His Imperial Majesty rule forever in graceful rest....

 

First, I miss the link between your name and palpatine. You doesn't mean Palp is the protector of Trawn, did you?
Of course he is a great person. I'm not sure about Syfo Dyas; Sidious. Sidious is his Sith name. Why shouldn't Palpatine not beeing his nickname. More logical for me, I suppose. Every Sith has a name, nick or not, what should be the link between Sidious and Syfo Dyas. It looks like a little bit, but........ hard to say or do you have some prove?
But after all, Dooku or Sidious. It doesn't matter who of those two orderd the army, it was with the same intention. The same plan!

 

Well, and I can go on with the last info I recived.
I Have heard from a friend who knows somebody into Lucas Film, that Dooku will have his own plans.
So you can think, he wants to role the galaxy by himself. That should explain why he asked for the help of Obi Wan. And that should explain how Anakin really become a dark Jedi. He will fight Dooku and winn becouse he use angre, hate, etc. He will fight dooku becouse Dooku will kill Padme and becouse Dooku ordered the army under the name Syfo Dyas. It has nothing to do with Palp. Becouse Palpatine was a real jedi master. Yoda knew him, Windu knew him, and Obi wan heard of Syfo Dyas. Why or How could Palp made that name up by playing with his own name: Sidious?

 

He's the evilest mofo in the galaxy.
