Dark Planet (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Bail Organa, Anakin Skywalker, Padme)

summary: Shortly after the skywalkers are married, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Padme, Anakin are sent to a strange planet to smooth over issues with the planet's natives and help some displaced aliens who liberated themselves from slavery, find a new home.

Along with Bail, Padme, Qui-Gon, and Anakin - I borrowed Siri from the Jedi Apprentice series again. I like her. I made up a Twi'leck senator, Gre Fargal - just cause I wanted a non-human. And I made up the Yarg.

This idea may be bad, so I may kill it. You tell me. And if there are just minor screw-ups, at least I'll know where they are and I can fix them, so tell me that too.

It begins. . ..

"You ready," Anakin asked as he entered the Apartment.

Padme was standing there staring out the window.

"I know I should be grateful we're actually going to inspect this planet together, but I have a feeling it will be more work
than play."

Anakin put his arms around his wife from behind. She reached up and held his hands. He kissed her on the head.

"We'll find a way to play."

She turned toward him and they shared a long kiss.

"Why do I love you so much Jedi Boy," Padme said looking up at him.

He smiled, that adorable cocky smile and leaned in to kiss her.

A buzzer suddenly chimed in. Anakin sighed inches from his wife's lips.

"It's Obi-Wan," He smiled and kissed her anyway and then went to the door. Sure enough, it was Obi-Wan and he
was with Bail Organa.

They hugged the newly married man and exchanged some pleasantries. Bail went up to Padme and gave her a special
hug as the Jedi conferred.

"That glow," he said with a smile.

"What glow?" she asked.

"The glow of love," Bail said bringing her close to him. "I'm happy for you."

"It would turn out that I'm barely married at all before they are again making demands on me from the Senate." Padme
sighed. "I had hopes of staying home. At least for a short time."

"They feel we are the best people for the job, considering the planets we represent and our own personal stance on the
issue of violence. And your Jedi will be with us."

"Use his name," Padme said.

"Oh, they're all scruffy nerf-hearders to me, trying to take away my sweet little Padme," Bail smiled at her. "You were
sort of like my little apprentice. You are as precious to me as anyone."

He reached up and touched her cheek. She was comforted by that. Bail had indeed been the one to help her in her
early days in the Senate. He had been her best friend and most trusted ally when some regarded her as young and
inexperienced. Even though it had been a success, there were some who considered her actions with the Trade
Federation foolish. There were those who saw her as a child, even now. Bail had said not to worry, that a person new
to any group, especially a political one, had to earn their respect. So she'd worked hard and with Bail as an ally,
became a respected politician.

But across the room, Anakin didn't like the way Bail was touching Padme or the smile on her face. Their relationship
had always made him uncomfortable.

"Anakin," Obi Wan called.

"Yes," Anakin said. "I hear you."

"No you don't," Obi Wan said. "I assure you, Bail's intentions are nobel. He respects your wife. He loves her very
much, but not in the way you do."

'Or so you say,' he thought as he saw his wife laugh at something Bail said. It indeed, did disturb him.

"Siri will be joining us," Obi-Wan said. "And another senator. Then we will meet with the Yarg."

"All right," Anakin said reaching for his lightsaber on a nearby table. Bail and Padme joined them and they left the
apartment.




Yarg were little gray creatures with large heads and skinny bodies big black eyes and little mouths. They had been
enslaved on an outer rim world and planned their own liberation. Unfortunately, this included releasing a gas lethal to
them and their enslavers on their home world. They stole transportation from their enslaver
