Darth Bane and Darth Zannah vs. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker debate thread

Greetings folks todays battle we have Darth Bane and Darth Zannah vs. Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker. Both teams have shown great cooperation on the field of battle with each other, and are great fighters. Now the question is if we were to pit these two teams agaisnt each other who would win? Everyone is entitled to an opinion but some have greater arguements then others. Now we will begin the debate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed. They're just that badass, especially Obi.

 

I'll take Bane/Zannah. I'll keep the explanation short.

I imagine Bane and Anakin would rush in to battle, leaving Obi-Wan and Zannah to face each other.

Obi-Wan and Zannah both take a defensive approach, so they would likely be at a stalemate. I would actually give the advantage to Zannah and her Sith sorcery, I don't think Obi-Wan ever saw anything like it his entire life. Let's call this a standoff for now.

Bane and Anakin would smash into each other head on like two rams. They're both tremendously powerful in all areas, but I believe Bane's wizard armor gives him the advantage. Lightsabers hardly scratch wizard armor and I don't think we've ever seen Anakin use Force lightning, have we? I suppose Anakin could crush the orbalisks with the Force, he has the potential (see Mortis), but Bane is capable of defending himself from Force attacks and could at least partially nullify Anakin's attempts. There's always the possibility of Anakin doing something stupid to get himself killed. So yeah, I'm giving the edge to Bane.

That leaves Bane and Zannah against Obi-Wan, which is obvious.

 

I think Zannah's magic, especially the fear based spell, would completely cripple Anakin. He is so full of fear as it is that this would be a quick and effective stop to him.

Physically I think Bane and Obi would be interesting. Bane is hyper agressive, but not to the point where he is messy and would make a mistake. That part of the fight very well could be a stalemate, until Zannah shows up to help....cause Anakin will be rocking on the floor crying.

 

Obi-Wan and Anakin. Because this is Star Wars. And the good guys always win.

 

I think it'd be the opposite with the Zannah thing. Fear doesn't cripple Skywalker, it pisses him off. It's what he struggles with his entire life, from his mother to the Jedi Order to Kenobi to Padme, and is basically why he turned to the Dark Side-- fear leads to anger, and all that.

Dooku sensed the "great fear" in him and tried to use it against him. And then this happened:

He reaches his pinnacle when he faces down the cold "dead-star dragon" within him and crushes it as Darth Vader, truly becoming "The Hero With No Fear."

Or so he thinks at least, until that epic moment when Luke shows him that he was still capable of fear, but that you can stare down those fears while also tossing away your lightsaber.

 

Anakin would no doubt respond to fear with rage. Whether or not that rage would be beneficial to him is questionable.

 

That basically.

 

Personally I would like to support Obi-Wan, and Anakin, but evidence suggests that Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywalker don't really have that much advanced teamwork in lightsaber dueling as a team which is explained in the Revenge of the Sith novelization. Darth Bane, and Darth Zannah however have tons of experience even being able to take down several Jedi like Valenthyne Farfalla, and that Echani Jedi Weapon Master who's name eludes me along with a couple other Jedi on Tython. Plus Darth Bane is an expert duelist mabe even equal to that of Sideous which would give him the advantage over Kenobi, and Skywalker. Darth Zannah would be evenly matched agaisnt both Anakin, and Obi-Wan but her sorcery might give her a slight advantage. So all in all I'd have to say that Bane, and Zannah would have to win which is sad but acceptable. It's not always fun when the Jedi win every time.
