Was Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter good? I think I read it is on paperback soon. And I want to know if I will be wasting my money.
Saboteur comes with the DMSH paperback? I am so gonna buy it, then. Not that I wasn't planning to anyway.
That sucks we gotta buy the paperback to a hardcover most of us probably already have if we want the e-book in printed form
When are Shadow Hunter and/or Cloak of Deception coming out in paperback - I am reading CoD right now - seems very interesting, and a story with Maul on the planet mentioned - Dorvalla it it - would be very interesting indeed.
Shadow Hunter is due out in late November. My question is, will Del Rey include the cover of Saboteur?
Aside from complete unexpected drop by a "mere" mortal when he wasn't paying attention Darth Maul kicks some fairly serious butt.
Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter is one of the reasons that I think that Prequel-era EU far outshines post-RotJ material! An excellent book!
Shadow Hunter was pretty good, but I really couldn't get into it. DM writers are like Boba Fett writers, either they hit the nail on the head or they just flat out hit their thumb. (I know that was lame but anywho) AND this is my first post so please don't rip me to threads, I mean, shreds!
That is no problem, Darth Clown. You can have your opinion, that is why I asked to see if it was a good read or not.
I thought it was well done. I was a fan of the first run of the Batman Animated Series and remembered which episode Michael Reaves had written. Then I realized, wow they've got a guy who wrote Batman writing Darth Maul. This should be a good book. Indeed it was. Though I thought it was awfully fast paced. One thing about the Prequel Era novels is that they are all fast reads, and especially in this one, you know who survives and who dies, which is quite disappointing. Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter did have some interesting plot twists fortunately. I do recommend it. As a stand alone one-book it is well done.
Why do you say, Mastadge? I have only read JA series, TPM by Terry Brook, But I have not read Rouge Planet, and the all three of OT, in one book and Jedi Quest *just skimmed* which I have. And is the Cloak of Deceptions any good? Any one getting The Gathering Storm in Feb. 2002 or whenever it is out?
Other then knowing the fates of the "good guys" the moment they are introduced, both Shadow Hunter and Cloak of Deception are good for a read. SH has great actions, and CoD is by far the best political EU book IMO. The problems with these two books are there are really no major events, and Maul is still a very 2D character in both books.
