Death Star

I'm fairly new to the Star Wars Games. I Just got Battlefront and I love it.

Is there a Star Wars game, for PC, that has the Death Star mission on it?

Unfortunaly no. I missed the Death Star,too. Finally an oppurtunity to have an awesome DS shootout, and they miss it.

X-Wing has the first Death Star while X-Wing Alliance has the second one (although both take liberties w/ the battles for the sake of gameplay). They're old games, though, so your best bet is to find copies of the games on either Ebay or Amazon.com (search for either the "X-Wing Collectors' Series" or the "X-Wing Trilogy" for the Windows version of X-Wing {and the latter will have X-Wing Alliance as well}). However, although you could modify the XWA Death Star tunnel run, neither game's Death Star mission was meant to be played multiplayer.

I too really wanted a Death Star map for Battlegrounds. You can find fan-made Death Star levels for Jedi Knight & Jedi Outcast.

 

Jedi Outcast also ships with a multiplayer death star map.

 

Oh yeah, so does Jedi Knight (or maybe Mysteries of the Sith) come to think of it, concentrating on the Emperor's throne room from ROTJ.

 

Rebel Strike has some training mission shootout thing in the Death Star Hanger Bay

 

Rogue Leader has a deathstar mission, but it's a dogfight, not a ground mission.

 

Rogue Leader has a level with the attack on the DS and the trench run, while Rebel Strike has a level with the rescue of Leia.

 

Go old school and try the original StarWars arcade game with wire-frame graphics.

The entire game consists of flying to the deathstar in your x-wing, navigating the surface to the trench, then flying down the trench to lauch your torpedos into the exhaust shaft.

Very simple, but lots of fun. The PC version is identical to the arcade machine.

 

There was a nice arcade game that included both the Death Star missions: 'Star Wars Trilogy Arcade'. You asked about PC games, but other than the already mentioned X-Wing, XWA, etc already mentioned I can't think of any others.

 

I rememeber a death star level in the original Rouge Squadron. It was an unlockable level when you got a certain nuber of medals. You fglew through the death star trench

 

I remember in the SNES version of ROTJ you were in the Falcon doing the Death Star 2 run, Rogue Leader has you in both Death Star attacks. same with Rebel Strike in on Multiplayer. Jedi Academy has you in the second Death Star, its a Siege map last i saw.
