    In Dark Force Rising, book 2 of the Thrawn trilogy, Mara Jade kills someone named Dengar Roth, is that Dengar as in bounty hunter Dengar who's last name is revealed or something.

    Dengar Roth was an alias for some random bounty hunter.. The real Dengar is still alive and well.

    Yeah he did. In the comic for DFR they actually did use the real Dengar. I think it was explained away as being a Dengar version of Jodo Kast. There was an article on it when DE was released and Dengar had turned up with Fett.

    When Zahn wrote that he was unaware that Veich had the character still alive in Dark Empire, which took place 1 year after his novels.

    West End Games as a continuity fix introduced "Gunner Roth," a lesser bounty hunter who carries a Dengar ID to intimidate those he chases in the DFR Sourcebook.
