Depa Billaba was in Episode II?

According to the IMDB, she was.

I was watching the end credits of AOTC, and was glancing at the cast. The last name on the list was "Depa Billaba."

But then, where the hell was she?

 

In the Jedi Council scenes. She is a Council member.

 

You can kinda see the top of her head in one shot.
I think.

 

First Jedi Council Chambers shot, you can see the top of her head toward the bottom of frame.

She was digitally put in.

Um, actually, all the Jedi Council shots for AOTC were done against blue screen, and the shots of the Jedi Council themselves were all re-used shots from TPM (with certain characters replaced like Poof and Yaddle).

So, yeah, basically every council member who was in TPM was in AOTC because they are the same exact shots.

 

Is she blink and you'll miss her, or if you have pan and scan you can't see?

Because Depa is one of my favorite characters.

But hey, she goes crazy in Shatterpoint, so it's not like we missed much.

 

Depa Billaba was my favorite of the minor Jedi. Very sad that they didn't give her so much as one line.

The role that Depa Billaba had in Episode was quite big actually. During the Battle of Geonosis while the others went to Geonosis the younglings that were too young to go to Geonosis stayed at the Temple, It wouldn't be right for the younglings to stay all alone so Depa Billaba stayed behind to babysit them.

Out of all the nonspeaking Jedi Council members, Depa Billaba had more screentime than any other. She nodded to Eeth Koth, was constantly in the background, and stood very near the camera in the shot on Naboo.

 

Uh...that was in Episode 1, not 2.

 

Yes, I am aware of that. But what I'm saying is Depa Billaba was the last Council member listed on the script, although her role was larger than all the rest.

 

Billaba was supposed to be in the Arena, but she got involved in another Adi Gallia/Stass Allie mess (where the original actors weren't available for Ep2, and the new actor looked so different they became a new character). Depa in the Arena became Sarr Labooda (yes, Coleman Trebor's original name for all you nerds out there ), the Jedi we see on the balcony flailing around with her saber, completely missing the droid even though it falls over.

 

That looks absolutely nothing like Depa - at least Adi/Stass and Eeth/Agen look somewhat alike. Sar looks nothing like Depa.

 

Depa Billaba was in episode II at the COuncil meeting. But she did not go to Geonosis to fight with other Jedi.

Well, I think it was supposed to be her anyway. But it doesn't matter now because Depa had an important job back at the Temple.
