Did Emperor Palpatine have any Concubines or dancing girls?

Because hes the Emperor of the galaxy and Dark Lord of the Sith and can do whatever he wants and he isnt married either, even the Emperor of Japan and the Sultans of Arabic kingdoms had Concubines that serviced them, even though they were married, i dont think the Sith Lords practice Chasity either, also did Palpatine have any dancing women like Jabba the Hutt did as well? like a live show only for the Emperor and his advisors? Palpatine must get stressed out and women could offer him a distraction from his stressfull job as Emperor.

Not a dirty question just out of curiousity, Palpatine is full of anger and women could provide him with motherly love something that a Sith would need.

 

All I'm gonna say is that the Dark Side tends to wither the flesh...

 

In all seriousness, I KNOW for a fact that somewhere I read awhile back that Palpatine had 'mistresses', which is a nice way of saying concubine/female slave.

 

Well, there were Roganda Ismaren, Ysanne Isard and the supposed harem of Twilek girls.

Mara's cover was as a dancer/concubine, and that's what most of the Imperial Court thought she was.

The same for that other hand from CotJ, and if memory serves, Leia mentioned concubines that were willing to kill anyone that got pregnant because they wanted to produce the heir...

 

There's a reason most of the Emperor's Hands are attractive young females.

This is one thing I never liked about the portrayal of Palps in the EU. He's evil incarnate and should be above petty things.

 

Actually, I tend to believe Palpatine is all about the petty.

I can think of nothing more pleasing than him letting young women think they have a hold on him and then snatching it away.

 

I don't agree. IMO his singular goal was to enslave the Galaxy to the dark side as we see in DE. I tend to believe anything that didn't lead towards this goal was below him.

Palpatine seemed to have two approaches to being a dictator.

1. Cultured dictator that goes to opera, quietly enslaving you to his Dark Side theocracy

2. Psycho dictator that leaves no doubt he's enslaving you to his Dark Side theocracy

Palpatine tried 1 and got thrown down a reactor shaft by his right hand man, so he tries 2 and gets killed by a blaster shot to the back.

Once he started with plan 2 all the trivial things like, operas, harems, and art museums were gone.

There's implications that Lord Cronal didn't exactly father Sarris on someone he loved.

I imagine on Byss there were probably lots of harems. Helps breed the next generation of Dark Side slaves.

 

Let me phrase it this way:

Evil people are usually driven by one of or a combination of three things: Power, Money, or Sex

I tend to think he was just driven by the power.

Compared to feeding off the combined life force of the galaxy, girlfriends/wives/slaves would have seemed trivial to him.

The EU proves my wrong I guess, but that's how I viewed the character ever since I read DE.

 

I don't think it proves you wrong. Concubines and dancing girls can be just as much about power as they are about sex.

 

Actually, I tend to think Palpatine kept the harem for appearances. Possibly release. Maybe to entertain his parties.

But I'm inclined to think his affair with Yssane Isard and Roganda existed solely to give him a power over them.

The question is how much did he use that power with other hands.

 

I hear a lot of people saying sex is trivial to a man with such power and ambition.

Ok. Fine. It's trivial.

It's trivial because it's on tap! No, he didn't spend every night of the week in another bed or constantly ringing the harem bell. But to assume that the darkside somehow relieves him of such desires and passions...are you kidding?

And for the "withered flesh"...that doesn't stop millions of men today...from viagra to more extreme measures. Just cause there's a malfunction doesn't mean the impulse is numbed.

Palpatine had a booty list that could make Xizor look like a priest...but it wasn't his overriding desire, NOR was it a fatal weakness of his...He had an ample share, but not reckless excess of sex.

Seriously, I could see him indulging in pleasures of the flesh, every once in a while, and for purposes of power, but I don't really picture Palpatine as holding over young women to just take advantage of, as he pleases. To me, he was more about power over the universe, and not really focused on carnal urges.

 

He's laid more pipe than Coruscant Plumbing.

 

Well it boils down to the emotional issue. Palpatine gets nothing emotional from sex, so its purely biological.

Though I do have the weird idea he and Yssane Isard tortured prisoners together for date night
