I caught the movie "Castaway" on TV over the weekend where she played Tom Hanks girlfriend and that question popped into my head.

This seems better suited to the JCC.

No, she hit 40. See also Sharon Stone, Meryl Streep et al.

If so, it couldn't have happened to a nicer person.

Payback for her winning the oscar over Dame Judy Dench.

I think we can safely conclude she did.

I'm not too horribly crushed, as we have her Mini-Me, Leelee Sobieski, to take all her roles.

Well then I have another question.

Did Leelee Sobieski just drop off the face of the earth?

...naw, she just made "Joyride" (way to go, Paul Walker! Wooo! We've nearly eliminated the last of the Helen Hunt clones!)

Twister!!! That was her biggest film success.

Then there was the whole "Mad About You", TV syndication thingie-ma-bob. She is most likely collecting royalties from the movies and films that she was in.

But have you ever noticed that women have less longevity in showbusiness than men? There are obvious reasons... maybe Helen Hunt is starting a family or can now command more money for better scripts.

    Who knows!!?!!

Its eerie how much Hunt and Sobieski look alike.

Yes, didn't you hear that Sobieski was going to be in the prequil to Castaway? Colin Hanks is going to play the younger male lead and Sobieski is going to play the part of the female lead.

The powers that be in Hollyweird are morons... always looking for a someone that looks like someone else. The next Elvis... Harrison Ford, Eddie Murphy... talent scouts / agents are so lost.

Did you see Deep Impact? What a load of steaming crap!!! Leelee Sobieski is aweful in that movie. Her crying is just as fake as "Press-On Nails." To compare her to Helen Hunt is just wrong. But then again Helen Hunt is nothing awesome either.

    Toodles

Yup. Heard about Geena Davis recently? Michelle Phieffer? Sandra Bullock? Meg Ryan? And Julia Roberts is heading there fast.

Sandra Bullock has several films coming out soon including Miss Congeniality 2, which will probably be a big hit.

Sandra Bullock's Miss Congeniality wasn't that long ago and it was arguably her best work. Certainly her funniest and one of the funniest movies that year.

Miss Congeniality 2 will, doubtless, be not quite as funny . . .
