how is it going to go down? How do you want it to go down? I'm a weekly drop kinda viewer meself. Although sometimes streaming services put a few eps in release, 2 or 3, and then weekly from then on. Or the entire seasons at once?

Honestly, I think weekly drops - okay, 2 eps and then a weekly drop like how Star Trek Discovery was on CBS All Access - is likely because Disney wants people to hang onto the streaming service not just get it, binge in a weekend, and bail.

    What about going slower.
    One per Month.
8 Episodes, taking up most of the year. A solid month to chew over each one.

Obviously I'd prefer it all at once; but I'm sure it'll be weekly. The only reason I'm considering subscribing to the channel is for the new TCW episodes.

I really can't choose. All options work for me. On one hand I like weekly because it gives me something to look forward to. But I do appreciate a good binge watching weekend though.

    I chose all at once.

I think it'll be a weekly release. And I'd bet all the space bucks that Andi Gutierrez hosts an aftershow to go along with it.

My bet is that they release one episode every 17th of August.

    *runs away*

I see they run on Valve time. Let me guess no series will bee above two seasons.

Even when entire seasons land at once, I still watch them weekly so I'm okay with that. But I think 2 eps off the jump and weekly after that is going to be how it rolls.

I'd put some money down that the premiere of Mandalorian will actually be on ABC networks kind of like how Star Trek Discovery was on CBS and then they punt the viewer over to the online streaming service for episode 2 right after that, then a weekly rollout.

It depends on the show. I could see TCW releasing all at once, especially for the episodes that were created from existing content that got abruptly cancelled. Shows that are being created just for the service, though, I’d say weekly.

Is anyone interested in the Marvel content from the upcoming streaming service?

I’m not, but I’m sure there’s a huge audience for it. Why? Seems a tad off-topic.

I’m interested in the Marvel stuff.

On topic, I’d prefer weekly. I like to treat show episodes as short movies, absorb and study them as a stand-alone entity, live in the suspense and anticipation for what will happen next.

    Most definitely.

Not as much as the Star Wars content obviously.

Seems like weekly, or an HBO model, would be a better way to stretch out content releases and keep viewers subscribing past an initial free period.

Weekly is fine, it give us time to digest and examine every detail of the episode, and it builds momentum and hype.

If they drop the whole season in a few hours YouTube and Twitter will be filled with spoilers and Easter eggs videos, and the season will come and go and we will need to wait a whole year to find out what happens next.

I think they should drop all the episodes AND seasons at once. Tomorrow.

I find it much more engaging and enjoyable if I binge watch a show that tells a story. And I am huge fan of episodes being limited to 8-12 per season, a format that kinda started first with Dexter and a few HBO shows. Since it's safe to say that both The Mandalorian and the Rogue Zero shows will have about that many episodes, I would rather get everything all at once. But unfortunately I think they will be releasing them on a weekly basis.

If they had 3 series going, and played a different one each week..

I get the Binge. I've done that often enough.
But I do want to savour and obsess about episodes. I want each one to matter.

I don't want to waste a weekend, and then it's over. I want more than that.

I wait two years for an Episode normally.

I’m old school and like the episodes to drop spread out. I remember fondly the days of waiting the week between episodes (and the years between seasons) for shows like Sopranos. Spending the better part of a decade growing with the characters and stories makes for a more enriching experience, as opposed to a gluttonous night of binging.

That said, if they drop it all at once I’ll binge watch like nobodies business.

I'd prefer all at once but I imagine weekly, at least whilst they build up exclusive content for the platform.

Steering a bit off-topic...... I'm looking forward to the older series, like Zorro, Swamp Fox, and Elfego Baca. I hope they drop the episodes all at once. :p
And of course, I'm looking forward to all of the more obscure films, and their animated shorts.

I’m sure they’ll go with weekly for a while. That’ll prevent free accounts binging all at once and not coming back. They’ll also be able to roll out a “talking Dead” style show to discuss each episode, giving even more content. If we get 3-4 shows a year (currently based on having Mandolorian, Cassian, a third series, and possibly an obi-wan series being worked on this year.), each about 8 episodes, weekly, that’s 32 weeks of content. Combine that with animated shows and whatever else they mighthave, and that weekly release schedule is very appealing to long term subscriptions.
