Unlike Jacen and Jaina, Luke and Leia don't exactly have the type of twin force bond J & J have. I thought they kinda did in the New Republic Era books, but then when NJO came and Jacen and Jaina's bond developed more and more, I started to notice Luke and Leias twin relationship and how they don't exactly have a twin force bond.

The writers of the NJO really abandodned these two realtionship with one another. Luke seemed to never care about Leia and hardly ever metion her. They never had any storylines with one another. They lost that brother and sister relationship they had before the NJO. And I hate that.

I agree, the history didn't really seem like it was there between the two in the NJO. It's understandable that Luke & Leia's twin bond is not as strong as Jacen & Jaina. After all, J&J have been nearly inseparable since birth (until the NJO), while L&L didn't meet until they were 20 something (exact age is highly debatable).

Any true newcomer to the SW universe probably would not have known Luke & Leia were siblings based off the NJO books.

Except for that whole "Solo kids referring to him as uncle Luke" thing. ;)

I agree, there wasn't much between the two in the NJO. Then again, there never really was a whole lot. Some books focused more on it than other, but more often than not it was hardly there, and you hardly ever saw Luke on a mission with Leia.

Luke's got a wife and kid now, plus he's trying to figure the whole Jedi question/offensive/defensive thingie out, as well as trying to keep the Jedi united in the earlier books.

Plus Im sure the fact that Leia has recieved much less Jedi training than Luke may be a factor. Maybe they didnt have such a powerful bond since she didnt devote herself completely to the Jedi.

Well, if you watch ESB and ROTJ, you definitely see indications of their Force bond. Returning for Luke at Bespin, and the "revelation" on Endor seem to be big indicators.

JPT: Luke may have a kid now, but he he just completly forgot about his sister during the NJO. Leia could've really used his support during some of the rough times she expeirenced such as Anakin's death and Han leaving Leia for awhile after Chewie died.

Luke and Leia have a force bond. They were drawn together from day one. Leia never directed her ire at Luke at all, though his plan was ill advised. She took it out on Han. She was mean (understandable after all that she'd been through) to everyone, but tender and affectionate to Luke. He was admiring and respectful of her, and risked his life for her.

In the NJO, the butcherer of characters, they were kinda busy, each having their own problems. They still come together int he end, with Luke wanted to spend time with her, even though he hadn't seen his son in more than a year.
