I recall the AOTC Visual Dictionary and other sources saying that after the environmental disaster flooded their homeworld, they had to turn to cloning and genetic engineering to save their species. I don't think it ever said outright that Kaminoans are all clones, however. Do they still bump uglies to reproduce or do you think they have their own specialized facilities to create new kids?

They're very concerned about genetic purity and supposedly this makes them good cloners, but now that you mention it, I can't for the life of me remember if they clone themselves or not.

They used cloning to save their species, but I think now that they're saved they can probably reproduce through normal means. I would imagine they're probably reall big into tweaking their kids' genetics to make sure they're perfect ,though.

They appear to be a pretty proud and arrogant bunch, making me think that they had kids the good old fashioned way but still relying on genetic engineering to ensure that their offspring were as intelligent as possible. It just seems that actual clones were just projects to them......organic toys that they created.

Yeah, I think eugenics is still an important aspect to their culture, and they are extremely proud and arrogant of their superiority after surviving the disaster with their cloning skills, so I think that while genetic manipulation or at least screening plays a role, they produce through tradiational means for the most part.

It is a good question though. I may have to start skimming my RC books to see if anything is said one way or the other.
