Do the "Wiggles" creep anyone else out?

Last night I had dinner with my Step sister's
family. Before we ate, I was sitting in the
living room with my nephew, who put in a video.

All of a sudden these four creepy looking middle
aged men, all dressed up like some deranged Star
Trek away team, pop up on the screen and start
jumping around and singing. I was horrified. I
thought Barney was bad, but these kooks take the
cake. They're like Tele-tubbies to the tenth power!

Am I crazy for thinking it's creepy for these old
guys to be acting that way, especially around kids?
Mr. Rogers didn't act like that! (His creepiness
was far more subtle)

 

Hey! Don't knock the Wiggles. 'Wake up Jeff!' is still a top 10 favourite of mine

 

The Wiggles are actually an occult group. Be thankful that Jeff hasn't awoken.

 

I've seen them live.

Now, you want to know what was creepier than them? Taking my then 3 year old son to see them when they were in Perth, Western Australia, and i had a Coffin Cheater bikie sit down next to me. (American readers: swao Hell's Angel for Cffin Cheater, their about the same, big, ugly, ride bikes, smelly and anti-social)

He had his 4 or so year old daughter with him, but the creepy part was, the lights go down, and here's this hairy biker mountain slapping on a Dorothy the Dinosaur hat and doing all the hand actions...

 

I knew it! These "Wiggles" are an evil that must
be stopped! But who?! Who will accept the challenge?
There are 4 of them, and they have an Army of zombified
children the world over! We're doomed!

 

They are the meanest... I've seen them live to!

haha, The Wiggles are awesome! My friends and I discovered them at like, 4:00 AM at a sleepover. Now, granted everything seems hilarious at 4 in the morning, but we couldnt stop laughing!

Soo... does that creep anyone else out? Some kid's gonna stab another kid because on the Wiggles it only tickles them.

There's something wrong about middle-aged (Australian?) men prancing around in strange-looking pajamas.

 

yeah, my daughter loves the Wiggles. so i usually have one of their songs floating around in my head...

Their videos are pretty disturbing. If you get a chance, watch the part with the song "Shake your hips with Wags the Dog". It's awful.

There is a JCer here on the boards that went to school with one of these guys. Apparently one of the guys was a player.

 

They're failed rock stars, just FYI. They used to be in a band called the Cockroaches before they made the move (possibly while high) to kid's music.

 

ironically, it was probably the best move they could have made ... just look at the money they make!!

 

The Asian guy scares me the most for some reason, maybe its since the majority of my friends are Asian and I can't picture any of them like that....

It freaks me out thinking about how much money they're worth...But then again, if I had their bank balance, I'd prance around acting like a complete tit as well!
