Do You Know What a Kookaburra Is?

I did a "search" here and the word "kookaburra" doesn't appear so this might be news for some readers.

A kookaburra is an Australian bird that makes a unique "laugh" that every Aussie recognizes when hearing it.

Now unless I'm going crazy, during the chase scene into the bar Anakin runs down the sidewalk pass some containers and very distinctively amongst the background noises you can hear a kookaburra cry.

Just a bit if trivia for y'all. At first I thought I was going nuts but I'm 99% sure I can hear it.

 

I wonder if it was sitting on the old gum tree?

Were there any bushes in that scene? It's probably a redundant point, but it would be interesting to know how accurate it is then...

 

Actually, I think I remember that bird sound in AOTC now. When Anakin is chasing after Zam, yeah.

Btw, in the AotC DVD commentary, someone says that during a scene in the speeder chase, you can see an X-wing and a few TIE fighters off to the side. I've never been able to see it, but I just thought that that would go under this "minute little weird things in AotC" discussion.

Is that that sound that goes, "Wroo-whooo!" It sounds kinda like a police car. Only it only lasts about two seconds.

There's all kinds of weird sounds in the SW Universe, there's a cool sound of a speeder wizzing by when Anakin is hanging on the front of Zam's Speeder. It sounds like a quick by high-pitch, clang-clag!

Actually I believe Ben Burtt confirmed this a while ago that it was indeed a kookaburra. So, you're right.

 

According to last night's episode of the Tom Green show, they usually only laugh when the phone rings.

 

We may have heard a Kookaburra (but not Rolf Harris, ). BTW, did anyone hear Salacious Crumb in the pub? Here him at 23.21 Trust me
