i think he is, he did say kota wouldn't live long enough to discover who he is but i know he was joking. i do believe juno had something to do with him turning to the light. also seeing an apparation of his father in the council chambers shook him to his core.

I don't think he was good or bad. I think he was at peace with making amends in the only way he knew how. I mean the dude lived with knowledge that his own training droid would try to kill him every single day.

Besides, he left Juno and told her it was for the last time.

It wasn't really a suicide mission even though I think Galen wanted to die. And, because I believe he simply wanted to end his miserable existence that he wanted to deal as much damage to Vader and Palpatine at the same time. He went into it wanting to die, and hoping that he could take both Sith with him.

That doesn't make him a good person.
The foundation for his motivation was revenge.
    Not good.
But that doesn't make him evil either...

i agree with you uli starkiller was evil but galen wasn't. galen was someone who felt he needed to rid the galaxy of vader and palpatine his innert goodness prevented him from killing vader and palpatine. he couldn't kill sidious because he wasn't the chosen one. but his droid is definately evil.

Personally, I tend to think that Galen Marek's story could have been done better.

There's no way that Luke Skywalker's antithesis shouldn't have been able to face Darth Vader in the game and potentially beat him. I have no difficulty believing that Galan Marek is as powerful as Luke Skywalker on the Second Death Star if not stronger, Chosen One bloodline or not. He was trained by the 2nd most powerful Sith Lord of all time and put through punishing exercises that most Sith wouldn't excell at.

What I disliked strongly about the whole thing was how inconsequential Galen turned out to be regarding Darth Vader's story. Darth Vader treats him as no different from Lumiya or his other Sith minions, even less. For a character whose fatherly instincts are a major portion of his characterization, that was severely disappointing.

    No.

Why you ask? Because he is still a freaking sadist who kills people in hilariously over the top ways. I mean, force choking a guy just so you can position him for a one way ticket into Bespin's core? Or doing the same to another guy to launch into lava? Still throwing Force Lighting around like crazy?

This is not a moral man.

charles galen was not a sith lord he was a sith apprentice, and mercenary i agree with you i saw that part where starkiller laughed when he killed drexl roosh. his force choking that guy on bespin was his way of persuasion didn't luke choke two gamorreans to get into jabba's palace.

In the Rule of Two, being a Sith Apprentice means that you are a Sith Lord. While violating the Rule of Two by training Galen Marek, it seems to me that Darth Vader trained him up to Sith Lord levels of power. Certainly, Galen Marek was stronger than a Jedi Master and I don't think there's anything wrong with him being as strong as Darth Maul even if he wasn't as strong as Darth Vader.

Sith Lord =/= Sith Apprentice or Master in Bane's line. Vader's specifically referred to as a Dark Lord Of The Sith in the ANH novel and he's still technically the Apprentice.

I think he was just crazy. He could have come home to Juno Eclipse every night if he hadn't gone on an suicide mission.

What exactly are you basing that on? It's canon that Palpatine and Caedus are stronger than Vader. There may have been others also but we can't gauge them.

Caedus wasn't more powerful than Vader except by the statement in the promotional material, I believe. I'm fairly sure that's not canon. Next, Lucasfilm has stated Palpatine was the most powerful of all Sith (Essential Chronology) so I'm fairly sure that Lucas' 80% projection on Vader's power means he's pretty much up there.

    I agree with this.

But regarding Galen, he's the fully trained apprentice of DARTH VADER. He was RAISED by Darth Vader. In simple terms, he's Darth Vader's SON! Admittedly, we never saw him or heard of him before but diminishing that diminishes Darth Vader.

No matter how ever you want to spin it, it is canon that Caedus is more powerful than Vader.

I don't know how you would reach the opposite conclusion anyway. Caedus is said to be an equal duelist to Luke Skywalker(by the omniscient narrative), who is exponentially more powerful than Vader in his LOTF form.

"Three YVH droids were left. And Jacen. Against Luke and Ben. Jacen was Luke's match, which meant Ben had to cope with three combat droids. The odds weren't good. Then the odds changed."

Not to mention that Caedus and Luke give each other about an equal beating in their Inferno, Luke having a slight edge due to one of the many advantages he had going into it.

"That fight... . Caedus wished he had a holorecording of it. It had gone on for what had felt like forever. It had been brutal, with the advantage being held first by Luke, then by Caedus, in what he knew had been brilliant demonstrations of lightsaber technique, of raw power within the Force, of subtle Jedi and Sith skills. For all his pain, Caedus felt a swelling of pride-not just that he had survived that duel, but that he had waged it so well.

At the end, Caedus had lost a position of advantage-Luke had slipped free of the poison-injecting torture vines with which Caedus had been strangling him-when Ben had driven a vibroblade deep into Caedus's back, punching clean through a shoulder blade, nearly reaching his heart."

"But he was still the best lightsaber swordsman around-excepting possibly Luke, perhaps the best there ever had been. "

Now you may love Vader as a character and hate Caedus but to say Vader is stronger is just self delusional.

With the evidence from the novel, I disagree.

"Not [to kill] out of hatred. [...] Hatred would not be enough to turn the tables on Darth Vader. [...] "I don't need to hate you in order to beat you," [Galen] gasped. "That's something I will teach you now." [...] "I don't hate you. I pity you. You destroyed who I was and made me as I am now, but this wasn't your idea. It was the Emperor's, and it's what he's already done to you. You are his creature just as I was yours - but you've never had the strength to rebel. That's why I pity you. I will no longer serve a monster, and if I have my way I'll make sure you don't, either." [...] "I will kill you to set you free."

    And later:
"Murdering Darth Vader would accompish nothing. Saving his friends might change the course of history."

No matter how ever you want to spin it, it is canon that Caedus is more powerful than Vader.

I don't mean to be rude, but I don't think it is.

    Advertising does not = canon.

Can you list a canon source that has him stronger?

If you want to argue he's stronger, that's different from being concrete facts.

Now you may love Vader as a character and hate Caedus but to say Vader is stronger is just self delusional.

    Why?
